Can't get TIR to work

I hadn't played for a couple weeks, went through the updates, and now my TIR doesn't recognize the game (or vice versa).  Any ideas?  Thanks.

try this  boot up track ir   and in the top right it says game updates  click that and update .

I did and still didn't work.  The left light on TIR lights up showing it can see my track clip, but the right light is off showing it is connected to the game.

Hi,

 

Does TrackIR work within the TrackIR software? I had some problems when TrackIR changed some settings a while ago. For example.. It was set on Trackhat and not the clip.

 

If not. Are there other games you can test? Like ROF?

Thanks Martijn.   It works fine by itself and with Warthunder (yes, I embarrassed to say I do play that).  Is there a setting within BOS that needs to be set?

Hi,

 

Don't be embarrassed for playing a game. If you enjoy it. Then that's all that matters.

 

I must say the problem looks complicated. One thing you could look at is overlaying shortcut keys. Are you able to get the TR lights from red/orange to green? If the shortcut key to activate the TR is also used for other stuff in the sim, then that can be a problem.

Thanks but no luck, TIR is just not recognizing BOS when it is running.  When I play WT, the "TIR Enhannced (Game Enabled)" light is on on the lower right hand screen of the TIR display is lit.  For BOS it is not lit.  I'll keep searching around the net for a solution.

1. After unpausing did  you wait some seconds once in the cockpit? Give it 10 or 20 seconds after unpausing. Try that.

 

2. Also, if that don`t work, try alt-tab out and back.

 

3. Is your Firewall or a similar software interfering? Disable it, see what happens.

check to see if your Antivirus is blocking it, some new update by windows and antivirus updates blocked mine, i had to include exclusions to it.

I finally figured out the problem (with the help of TIR support) so wanted to post for future reference.

 

Even though I have the latest version on TIR, the IL2 config setting  had  "old_trackir=1" which meant it failed to recognize my new TIR.  Not sure how it got reset to that, but I set the value to 0 and it recognized my TIR after that.
