Me109 trim

Hi how can I set the 109 elevator trim on a normal switch not on an axis?

Just assign keys/joy buttons or HAT for increase and decrease like in any other command for:

 

Adjustable stabilizer axis

 

This command accept axis, keys or buttons. Is the only trim on game that allow use axis besides keys or buttons.

You are probably using the keys for the elevator trim. Look for the stabiliser trim or something of the likes, that's the one you will use for the Bf-109 and Fw-190

Thanks for the reply, I did all that but for the 109 and the MC202 it doesn't work, . I can trim using a hat switch on all the other aircraft but the Me109 or the MC202 that only use an axis

I already have LControl + POV HAT Up and Dow for Bf 109 trim - as well for all other planes "trim" , so dont need bother for what plane that trim was, is not because the trim setup was done in dumb way that I need use in dumb way   - and WORK, believe or not. 

 

BTW - This image suggest that you already have keys, the RSht + something assigned for Adjustable stabilizer axis (this command is exclusive for Bf 109).

 

 

Is matter of set HAT Up and DOwn in the box in front - you can set three different set of keys/buttons for each command.

Yes that's what I want to have, all the same on all aircrafts. I do not understand what your saying however, can you re phrase that for me please?

No, I try be didactic and objective in my advises about configurations - not the usual guess that people commonly post.

Not next to BoS installation now, but I have all three types of 'elevator'  trim (all aircraft) assigned to a single hat switch with no problems

 

will look into it when have time

Part of what Sokol1 was saying was you can assign two keys using the single "Adjustable stabilizer axis" setting. As Sokol1 points out, your screenshot even shows it already bound to two buttons or keys though the image is cut-off and just shows the right shift key prefix part, "RSht+". I agree it is not the most intuitive approach where you can set two buttons on that single setting but have individual settings for up and down for the other, non-axis, trim commands.

 On mine I can either have joy0_pov0_180/joy0_pov0_180 or joy0_pov0_0/joy0_pov0_0. As soon as I select it it select both. In other words when I am suppose to select the switch that the increase the trim then decrease, it take the my selection and apply it to both

Leave assigned in that way, save the controls exit the game and open with Notepad the file current.actions in the folder IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad\data\input\.

 

Edit the second line of rpc_adjustable_stabilizer like the example bellow

hey DB that's happening because your sensitivity is being detected with out you pushing it, its polling to fast. you have to set it and keep trying to set it. works for me.

 Really you could tell lol. Jokes apart you're right it's way to sensitive, it was registering both command in one clic. You have to do small and fast

yes that comes from experience my son (its the way the software is detecting your inputs) sorry but that's this game engine...use the force, young padawan. follow the your elder instructions we'll get you there.
