CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Hi how can I set the 109 elevator trim on a normal switch not on an axis? Thx
Sokol1 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Just assign keys/joy buttons or HAT for increase and decrease like in any other command for: Adjustable stabilizer axis This command accept axis, keys or buttons. Is the only trim on game that allow use axis besides keys or buttons. Edited May 23, 2016 by Sokol1
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Just assign keys/joy buttons or HAT for increase and decrease like in any other command. Pitch trim up Pitch trim down I did that but it doesn't work
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 You are probably using the keys for the elevator trim. Look for the stabiliser trim or something of the likes, that's the one you will use for the Bf-109 and Fw-190
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Thanks for the reply, I did all that but for the 109 and the MC202 it doesn't work, . I can trim using a hat switch on all the other aircraft but the Me109 or the MC202 that only use an axis
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 23, 2016 1CGS Posted May 23, 2016 Horizontal stabilizer trim. It's there, trust us.
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Horizontal stabilizer trim. It's there, trust us. I really want to, can you show me where? I don't have that Here's what I got in the settings.

The name of the command is what I post above "Adustable statibilizer axis" - copied from "current.actions" file in Input folder - is not a "guess". rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, , 0| // Adjustable stabilizer axis rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_180/key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_0,0| I already have LControl + POV HAT Up and Dow for Bf 109 trim - as well for all other planes "trim" , so dont need bother for what plane that trim was, is not because the trim setup was done in dumb way that I need use in dumb way - and WORK, believe or not. BTW - This image suggest that you already have keys, the RSht + something assigned for Adjustable stabilizer axis (this command is exclusive for Bf 109). Is matter of set HAT Up and DOwn in the box in front - you can set three different set of keys/buttons for each command. Check again. Edited May 23, 2016 by Sokol1

Quote rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, , 0| // Adjustable stabilizer axis rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_180/key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_0,0| Yes that's what I want to have, all the same on all aircrafts. I do not understand what your saying however, can you re phrase that for me please? Edited May 23, 2016 by ATAG_dB
Sokol1 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) No, I try be didactic and objective in my advises about configurations - not the usual guess that people commonly post. Sorry if you don't understand, my English is very limited. But the pictures speak for yourself. Edited May 23, 2016 by Sokol1
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) I know you try thanks, does French would be better? Anyone.... Edited May 23, 2016 by ATAG_dB
Dakpilot Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Not next to BoS installation now, but I have all three types of 'elevator' trim (all aircraft) assigned to a single hat switch with no problems will look into it when have time Cheers Dakpilot
mort Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Part of what Sokol1 was saying was you can assign two keys using the single "Adjustable stabilizer axis" setting. As Sokol1 points out, your screenshot even shows it already bound to two buttons or keys though the image is cut-off and just shows the right shift key prefix part, "RSht+". I agree it is not the most intuitive approach where you can set two buttons on that single setting but have individual settings for up and down for the other, non-axis, trim commands. Clear as mud?
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Sorry I don't. How can I (like all my other planes) have the trim on the same hat switch? My Adjustable stabilizer axis Doesn't accept my hat switch on the settings, it accept only an axis Edited May 23, 2016 by ATAG_dB
Sokol1 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 This lines, copied from game controls, show that keys and HAT can be used: rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, , 0| // Adjustable stabilizer axis rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_180/key_lcontrol+joy0_pov0_0,0| And this part of pictures that you posted, show too that keys can be assigned. image hosting 30 mb Probable is the default assignment: R_Shift + Cursor Up / R_Shift + Cursor Down
CisTer-dB- Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Probable is the default assignment: R_Shift + Cursor Up / R_Shift + Cursor Down Yes it's the default How mine looks trim.jpg Cheers Dakpilot On mine I can either have joy0_pov0_180/joy0_pov0_180 or joy0_pov0_0/joy0_pov0_0. As soon as I select it it select both. In other words when I am suppose to select the switch that the increase the trim then decrease, it take the my selection and apply it to both
Sokol1 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 On mine I can either have joy0_pov0_180/joy0_pov0_180 or joy0_pov0_0/joy0_pov0_0. Leave assigned in that way, save the controls exit the game and open with Notepad the file current.actions in the folder IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad\data\input\. Edit the second line of rpc_adjustable_stabilizer like the example bellow rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, R_Shift+Cursor Up/R_Shift+Cursor Down, 0| // Adjustable stabilizer axis rpc_adjustable_stabilizer, joy0_pov0_180/joy0_pov0_0,0| Save the file and test in game.
