Expert Mode - can't open MAP during flight

Hi.

 

PROBLEM: cannot bring up the map on expert mission / servers, no matter what (with icons active or not). It works when playing "normal" missions though.​

 

SITUATION: I've mapped a control from my joystick (as well as M key) to the "show map" function.

I checked to be sure that the "M" key isn't mapped to anything else, as well as my joystick control assigned to this task. They are "dedicated" assignments.

 

 

How can we navigate if the expert mission/servers doesn't allow map to show? I'm sure I'm missing something, or maybe devs are aiming for the utmost immersion forcing us to print a map to play on expert mode?

 

Any tip/help is appreciated.

Hi!

 

M is for minimap which is not available in expert mode. Press O for a full map.

Are you trying to bring up the mini-map or the full-size map?

 

The full size map should work - the standard binding for it is "O"

Mini map should be in expert.... IMHO, with no icon .

Thanks gents. Neither one is working.

Where can I find the command which attributes the letter "O" to full map? I'm using this letter for open/close canopy on my pit, and I don't have it conflicting with anything (there's no sign of the little "double orange box" on it on settings).

Also, the only command refering to map that I found in settings is the "change ingame map mode", which I linked to M key. What is the command that should read "O"?

 

EDIT: Found it. It is the "Mission Briefing" command. Never used it before, was using the "change ingame map mode".
