Custom skins on MP

I wasn't aware that people could see your custom skins on MP, without previously downloading them and placing them in the skins folder.

 

I don't think this was introduced in this last update, but how long has this been in there?

 

I saw other people's custom skins today for the first time and was a bit shocked since I didnt download them.

I could swear that I saw some people's custom skins on WOL today.

Have you got any custom skins installed on your pc.

I do but i didnt recognize any of the ones i saw. Maybe they had some of the campaign ones that I've never used, who knows.

 

When Jupp (i think) was testing some of his missions on his server he said that it was already possible (which surprised me)

ok so just to confirm (I had the exact same question), you only see personal MP skins if you have the same in your downloads folder right?

Thats right same skins must be on other persons computer to see them in the skins folder .

Slight aside but, that is an amazing feature! I didn't realize that this was a thing until today! I looked up a video and that is awesome!

I have never seen custom skins unless I have them installed.

I read this thread and still have no clue if a person can see your custom skin in MP. 

 

Is the correct answer: 

 

1. No, everyone else sees a default skin

2. It can only be seen by other players if they have a copy of it in their game

3. Whether or not anyone can see your custom skin is dependent on server settings 

4. Everyone can see your gorgeous custom skin
