I am at level 12, so it is more about luck, I think. When I started BOM missions with the 110, I also had some missions in a row, where nothing went as it should, and then you also make mistakes, because you want the success. I changed the aircraft and had success, changed back to 110 and now I had more luck with the missions. My speed with the Heinkel, BTW, was 280km/h, because I had only the 50s.

The problem with low speed is mainly the AAA, it is, of course, easier for them to hit you when you are flying slower. But my bombing was from 4000m, what is quite safe, and I was attacking a railroad station, so not too much AAA.

Everything was fine until level 10. now you just get sniped out of the air by fighters that engage in suicide attacks no matter what, pulling angles way beyond cockpit visibility with laser accuracy. I want to play a game not get gang raped by 109s almost every time. But at least it seems they mostly stopped them from following you 50 km back to base.

I don`t think that mission difficulty rises after pilot level 10.

Somebody checked the mission files a while ago for different pilot levels, and above level 8-9 I think the AIs were mostly set to High, with a few set to Ace. One can easily confirm this by checking it themselves using the Editor
