Has been taken a decision at least about the TO Theater of Operations?

Yes or no, please. I don't ask to know what TO is.

1. Great news, waiting for the announcement about the new features in that patch  :salute:

2. I don`t have any rush to see what is the next scenario. Take your time to think it really through. I am not sure anymore what would be a best choice over all.

2.

The best choice from the business point of view would be that one, which brings the most money to devs and at the same time doesn't make too many customers dissatisfied.

That's the reason I think a customer's poll to choose from devs "candidates" could help both sides ;)

The most important and really good message is actually - they ARE thinking about a new theater.

That is partly what I was thinking. Most money to the devs and more importantly new players for the game.

I'm a pretty big fanboi but I'm starting to lose interest in both the game and the forums. Nothing new to play with and not much to talk about anymore. Make a decision already. The servers are the lowest population levels in a year. If guys like me are slipping away, that is a huge problem. We haven't even had a devblog or diary in weeks. Get a move on Devs.

I think that is caused by summer and holidays in Europe. People have something other to do than gaming.

Agree completely :salute:

Hmmm....I've seen that said in the past about RoF and CLoD.  Problem is; the numbers did not come back in the autumn.

Or at all.

Could be.

But it is a fact, at least my gaming reduces a lot when it`s summer and holidays here. Depends on the weather of course.

It's (sort of) been done. Here are the combined results from both forums:

All roads lead to Kuban.

All roads lead to Leningrad and Gulf of Finland :D

The Kuban might come afterwards, if there's enough beef to grill ;)

Same here, a little devblog here or there doesn't hurt though :)

I'm at pub on the shores of the lake drinking fifth beer with a shots of borovicka. It's around 30C and last thing I would so is sit in front of my PC and simulate La-5 overheated cockpit:D

This move seems the most logical to me. Covering three big theatres of operation and major cities first: Stalingrad, Moscow, Leningrad. After this the road could lead anywhere there's money to be made and people to serve (read: Mediterran theatre of operation ;) )

Some days it's just not worth it.

Sometimes there is nothing newsworthy to report. Example: DD145. We fixed some bugs. Nav lights on the Pe-2 are moved 3cm back. Hangar floors have new textures. Bf-110 radiators now open 0.5 degrees more thanks to a community sourced document. No news on the next theatre. Bye.

But if you wait three weeks and gather a 150-long list of those and have time to work on proper features to announce, then it becomes a DD that goes down in history.

Jason, it's worth it every day.  It might seem a pain in the rear end but a little communication goes a long way.  We know you try your best and believe it or not,  most of us understand that without you none of this would exist at all. :salute:

It cannot be easy being part of an operation based in Moscow and dealing with what must be a wholly different business culture - for someone living in SoCal.

It would make a great deal of difference if perhaps Loft would like to pay us a visit and give the English forum a little love too.

BlackSix showed up today to give us a short heads-up, and he's around often. Unfortunately the English forum due to language barriers doesn't get Han's collection of cool memes, but otherwise the level of information is more or less the same.

Lucas; thanks but I can read.  Haven't you got some marketing you could be getting on with?

If the dev´s do not know what to do next , Fine I can tell them. As long as it contain a IL 4 and HS 129 they can do whatever they want

Eight beers and three borovicka is the final score for this evening. I don't know what you guys talk about. Life is short and summer even shorter. And those young ladies serving beer.... yummie ... I'll be back tomorrow and also day after tomorrow :D

My guess is they need to sale so many copies before the go signal is given.

Waiting to hit that mark?

Or maybe the next step is such a huge decision that they must get it right?

No more yaks and 109s for me. Made my decision if that's the case. Elder scrolls is coming out about the same time. They can take my money.

2) We still have not made a decision about the next game and continue to consider various options. It will take some time.

This does not strike me as a very positive statement.  I would think  "consider various options. It will take some time."  means sales of BoM have not been quite what was hoped for.

Only if that is what you're hoping for.

Eight beers and three borovicka ....

Have drunk pretty much all over the world but have never experienced  borovicka?

Please enlighten me  :)

No BSR, its not what I'm hoping for. I only have flight sims on my pc.  I'm not interested in any other pc gaming.  BoS/BoM is the only show in town that is going where I want to go.

I hope they've sold a shit load of copies and are right now preparing to strike while the iron is hot and announce the next expansion as the invasion of Italy.  I can't wait to crash my early access Seafire onto the deck of an escort carrier.

However "consider various options...take some time" does not make me feel optimistic.

Yes and it's the options and the time that worry me.

Why?  There are several options, and it probably requires some research to determine which is best.

Like any businessman or company ,they are probably waiting for the sales of BOM `i would think`  before any future announcements are made .

I agree; but what I'm worried about is a lack of sales meaning some of those options could be a reduction in staff numbers or a reduction on the spend on third-party teams who are sub-contracted to do the modelling.

If we are going to continue with the series then a good case can be made for the Kuban theatre as the next "logical" progression.  Would this be a logical commercial decision though?  In my opinion it would not.

No need to be logical, it's a game.

It needs to be fun, enjoyable and make the devs money.

The idea that "Oh hey guys we have to sell X copies of BOM before we name the next product." is honestly incredibly silly. BOM isn't in full release, hasn't been published to Steam (where it definitely has a lot more visibility) and it is seriously unlikely that the approximate number of sales has any bearing on when the next product will be announced.

BOS and BOM were prefunded - you seriously think that BOK isn't going to be?
