What screen are you using?

 

I'm currently mulling over a 1080 and an LG 34UM95 and fps will be important. Ideally I'll be running at 60fps but don't know if this is feasible.

And how about the 4k Performance with BoS & BoM with a single 1080? Playable? I had the Idea to go with 2x 1070 for 4k. 2x 1070 cost the same as a single 1080.

Before spending that much on a GTX1080 please consider this. If you play in 4K resolution on the deck engage with multiple foe i am still in the low 30 with occasional dip in the 10 on multiplayer mode. On single player on the quick mission if I select multiple wave my GTX 1080 still struggle.

 

I think if you play at lower resolution that will be fine. I really hope the dev upgrade for DX11 or something

 

In a situation with many other aircraft the bottleneck is the CPU and not GPU. 4K resolution does not make any difference in that case, you're being limited by the CPU.

It's a very good panel, Yes BoS is playable on a single 1080

Sharpe is right, as soon as I OC my CPU from 3.4 to 4.5Ghz the shutter stop, apart from little dip here and there I am good.

You can see in my sig a GTX 1080 with 5960x - 4.4 and a Dell U3415W (a 34" ultra wide 3440x1440 @60Mhz). VERY fast.
