Question - why is taxiing so difficult?

I didn't say it makes me special. But it cartainly means I get to post on the forum just like everyone else.

That was my point. Every few weeks someone new will join the forum, toss around their expertise in a thread while being rather rude in the process. Those kind of posters don't add as much to the discussion as they think.

Sorry, but starting to spin during slow taxiing despite opposite rudder and braking the opposite wheel is a glaring defiency!

Then it is not taxiing in general that's a problem? Why not post this specific issue as a bug.

Taxing seems a little easier now with the patch, in my view. I even moved faster and smoother than expected and pranged the prop for the 1st time ever online!

You should not use the brakes when taking off, just the rudder. Hold the stick fully back until you pick up enough speed for the rudder to become effective. Then center it and keep the plane going straight using the rudder only.

Thank tomorrow I will try and tell you...

I would find it pretty impossible myself! You should get a joystick with at least a twist stick, you don`t have to have a rudder pedals, then you`d halve the difficulty. They aren`t expensive.

You are right I have hotas warthog and joystick doesn't have axis and get take off without pedals is impossible for me also with rudder assist

If you got the Warthog you definately need pedals. That setup is like running a ferrari without a servo supported steering wheel.

Assign rudder control in that HAT (COMM something) in throttle - under left thumb.

Left HAT for left - upper (or down) for center - right for right.

Will work well for taxi - takeoff.
