6 PE-2's finishing off the German Railway Station to win the war with multiple enemies and escort up top keeping them busy.

Search and Destroy - Tank Mutilation

Tactical Comms with search and destroy of a tank column in the IL-2 Mod 1941. 8 tank kills, 1 air assist, and 2 ground targets.

Tactical Comms Train Station Strike

Tactical Comms for Strike Package with escort to the Veleki Luki Train Station. Coordinating all flights at the field for take off and then on to target for a successful strike.

Red Flight included 2 IL2's for Cleanup, Green flight includes 4 PE-2's for strike, Blue and Gold flight escorting. Successful mission and we won the war.

i recall the moment (1st or 2nd video) when i was patrolling the rear warehouses (german) and noticed your flight of pe2's coming in... i knew there would be escorts, so i figured i'd just slash through and run for a bit .... i inverted the 190 to boom but those PE2's are so fast that they were too far by the time i reached co-alt. DANG! you guys were flying fast. i settled in behind the trailer, got a few hits before the inevitable escort fighter keeled me... i learned a valuable lesson about the speed of those PE2's.

Oh yeah I remember... we were at 2600m doing around 360 indicated with the flight of 6 PE-2s... I will say you got us all  you got us all worked up... everyone was getting pretty uneasy with you back there!   Luckily we had some quality escort up top ready to pounce.  :salute!

and i remember my initial thought..."man, that's a pretty sight".  beautiful formation.

it should have been fun, but.... the FW just didnt seem to retain the E, and there i was at cruise speed in level about 400m behind yall.... gulp.... i didnt even bother to look behind me (wanted to avoid catching a bullet in the eye)... "let's see if i can get an engine before i am dispatched"... nope...a few hits before my vision got all scarlet and then the old 3rd person spirit-view while i watched that awesome flight of PE2's (from spectator mode) dive towards the helpless, undefended fatories. not certain if an escort finished me or a rear gunner, but my plane was prolly twice as heavy by the end of it all, thx to all the vvs lead.

Not a surprise for me personally...I still have a terrible time spotting.  Besides...my fangs were out for Elanski.

I think this is the first time it's ever happened for me... and I got it on live video!   In all seriousness, it's your fight's communication that makes or breaks it... and a gun big enough to get the job done with a hit or two (23mm HE).   That's why I'm in love with the Lagg and the IL-2 now.
