6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 I have registered to the 6./ZG26 Forum , is it the right one? Yep
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 A heads up for all registered for Sunday's flight. Please check your PMs and let me know numbers that will be present from your squads. Cheers! Emil
216th_Xenos Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Hey Emil, I can't see the Co-op section on your forum, is it up? (my username on there is Xenos)
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) Hey Emil, I can't see the Co-op section on your forum, is it up? (my username on there is Xenos) It should work now If you want to get together with the other squads to make a plan there is a list of squads that are flying. Haashashin, Simpel and Fahrenheit are worth getting in touch with. I think it's much better that I show you the map and targets and you guys decide what you are going to do rather than me tell you in a briefing that way it will always be a surprise for both sides P.S for those of you that use Steam you can add me under the same name....if that makes things easier for communication Edited May 7, 2016 by 6./ZG26_Emil 1
216th_Xenos Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Sounds good man, on our end 216th/55IAP Lucas is trying to work out how many of us will make it. Had a blast last Sunday when you guys jumped us!
SYN_Haashashin Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 We should be something around the range of 5-8 SYN again tomorrow. I posted our intentions over at the ZG26 VVS room, so take a look and let us know what you think and what you are planning to do.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Good luck to everyone this should be a good one Any last minute questions please get in touch asap as I am about to put the BBQ on
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Awesome mission again thanks all for attending. I'll do some AAR for our side on our forum
216th_Xenos Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Once again, a lovely mission. Coconut led Nocke and I in a patrol along the northern borders which appeared to be empty of the LW. The Mig is a nice aircraft to fly glide about with so no issue there On our second sortie (Coconut and I), I failed to spot the incoming Finnish pilots who thought it would be wise to give my aircraft a new coating of lead. No damage on engine so I carried on to 'attempt' to support Coconut. However he found himself pursued by 3 of the 109s and I was unable to catch up, at this point he took enough hits for his engine to call it quits. Being the wise and cowardly pilot I am, faced with 3 109s with altitude advantage, I called it a day and went back into peaceful flight mode and rode the mig home to land safely. Thanks for hosting and organising the mission and to all who attended. 3
LLv44_Kanttori Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Great event, we Finns like it very much! See you on next sunday! 2

6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Everyone should be added to the co-op section now. If you cannot see LW or VVS then let me know which side you will fly...I probably don't know and havent added you.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Nice video! The I-16 is a lot better than people realise
IRRE_Simpel Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Yes i think too ! It's a very good surprise for us 1
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Yes i think too ! It's a very good surprise for us It's my favourite fighter in the game although I am terrible at flying it lol
SYN_Haashashin Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 In name of all SYN involved yesterday, it was a nice one!! (even if for most of us it was the first time on the planes we took ) We didnt encounter any oposition, but flak, on first mission but during second one...well lets say our Pe-2 ended parked near a town near our airfield (cant remember the name of such town, to much Vodka in memory of our gunners lost) Full AAR over at ZG26 forum. 2
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 We battled through footwear woes.....and even trouser malfunctions but the bombers ALWAYS get through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkQRnzQNKOQ 1
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 By the way who ever the Finnish pilot was who hit those carponiers was.....good job because that was amazing!
LLv44_Kanttori Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 By the way who ever the Finnish pilot was who hit those carponiers was.....good job because that was amazing! What is "carponier"? By the way nice videos those all!
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 12, 2016 Author Posted May 12, 2016 Those horse shoe type things that the aircraft are parked in....that pilot put a single 50 Kg bomb in 4 of them
LLv44_Kanttori Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Those horse shoe type things that the aircraft are parked in....that pilot put a single 50 Kg bomb in 4 of them Yes, it was me: lucky drops, but thank you! Edited May 13, 2016 by LLv32_Kanttori
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 13, 2016 Author Posted May 13, 2016 For those guys who are flying on Sunday the briefings are up, Could squad leaders get in touch to let me know how many you are bringing. I might set up a round robin of squad leaders for each side to make this easier! Enjoy the sun while it lasts....Winter is coming
SYN_Haashashin Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Emil, also people should start studying other parts of the map since other locations are coming Winter never come to the sunny islands
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) Yes we need to get people familiarized with the other sector before the snow and ice sets in....it's much harder to navigate that part of the map P.S I think most are aware but we settled on a system we like rather than Dead is Dead....for now If you are shot down or killed or even land wait for your entire flight to land....after that you may fly again. I think this works quite well as dead is dead really just seems to punish ground attackers P.P.S Last Sundays bladder busting mission!! https://youtu.be/4pUzjE6tVb0 Edited May 14, 2016 by 6./ZG26_Emil
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Going to put Sunday night's mission on pause for a couple of weeks while I sort a few things out. We've had a few really good missions so I aim to improve on that over the next couple of weeks. Cheers all for flying and see you soon
LLv44_Kanttori Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) Roger that. Edited May 15, 2016 by LLv32_Kanttori
I./JG1_Baron Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Thanks for your work ZG26, looking forward to next mission From today`s campaign mission - I./JG1 on take off position
CCG_bexhausted Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Nice screen and skin ! Nocke i apologize for my very bad english. So, thanks to Coconut and Xenos I could still fly with the IL2 group. But we thus pollute the conversation with the French language. Flak ended this experience quickly. it was a short but nice flight.
216th_Xenos Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 It was great flying with the fellow il2s and i16s while it lasted. Unfortunately got dodgy Internet lately and it just cut off.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Unfortunately our bomber flight didnt work out well at first so we ended up with a mixed flight of Ju-88s and Bf-110 escorts. As if things couldn't get worse, one of our bombers suffered engine failure onroute to the target and had to emergency land. The target was very cloud covered so navigation and bombing was a real struggle. I ended up divebombing it and cought a lot of flak for it. In good old ZG26 fashion I made it back with the very last drop of fuel gliding in for final on a deadstick landing Edited May 16, 2016 by 6./ZG26_5tuka 1
coconut Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Our first flight with IL-2s escorted by i16s was caught by 109s over the target area. I caught some flak on my first pass, which damaged my engine. Ignoring the constant reminder from the techchat, I dropped my bombs and fired my rockets at ground targets, getting 5 of them. Nocke had his windshield covered in oil, so he had to RTB. Surprisingly, he is the one who would go down last. I was caught by a 109 during egress and had to ditch. Bex suffered the same fate around the same time, and had to eject. Golgoth21 was a bit late to the party in an IL-2, and arrived on the target unprotected, where he was slaughtered by the 109s. Meanwhile, the i16s put a brave fight, allowing us to do at least some damage to the objective. We started again with pe2s aiming for a fuel depot, escorted by a P40 and an i16 (because why not?). We never saw enemy air opposition during that flight. We made it to the objective and dished out destruction there. Flak claimed the P40, damaged the engine of the i16. A crane seemingly sprouted out of the ground in front of me. I avoided it, but lost control over my pe2 in the process and crashed into nearby farms. On the way back Golgoth's birthday was celebrated. Back home, the i16 with an engine damage ran out of fuel and did an exemplary "land and roll" maneuver that could be used in instructional videos for paratroopers. The remaining Pe2s performed a by-the-book landing followed by a not-so-by-the-book-firing-at-each-other celebration. By the way, the first flight intended to attack a tank encampment. It was pretty hectic, so maybe I missed them, but I saw no tanks, only trucks and tents. On the second flight, the fuel depot we attacked was actually a factory complex. Not sure we found the right targets, but since their AA fired at us, I felt OK bombing them in return.
SYN_Haashashin Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 We did a sortie to bomb some German facilities, did not encounter any oposition but flak. All SYN pilots got back home safe, cant say the same about the planes (no mayor damage, some props bent) SYN strike force taking off (inspired by SYN_Mugue) 1
LLv44_Kanttori Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) Is everything ok in your server after a big update and Battle of Moscow releasing? I just visited in your server and I saw only airfields was marked there...but Flying Finns are coming! Edited May 18, 2016 by LLv32_Kanttori
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 We gave it a go yesterday and it seemed fine, although we didn't get to check the german side.
