I thought I would share our bomb run for anyone who is interested to see what it's like to be in a full bomber flight. We are flying 3 Kettes in a flight and each Kette leader does his own bomb targeting and release, the wingmen in each Kette drop on his Kette leaders command. We had a long range 110 fighter as escort and we lost one 88 due to flak over this target.

Part II

 

Maybe one of the French guys can upload their final attack on us...we thought we had made it back and were descending 20Km from our airfield when we were pounced upon by 3 Migs flown by Normandie Niemen. My pilot was instantly killed so I had no recording to share but they got 3 of us and damaged the rest. What have I said about shooting the camera man!!

Le NNv existe depuis le début des années 2000 et nous volons actuellement sur BoS/BoM avec une grosse préférence pour les coop réalistes (comme avec les ZG26). D'ailleurs nous conservons les stats de nos pilotes virtuels, en m'explosant contre Emil, j'ai perdu un pilote qui avait 12 missions de guerre et 6 victoires aérienne, il va me manquer!

The NNv exists for approx 15 years now and we are flying on BoS/BoM mainly in coop games (like with the ZG26 lately). We are keeping our virtual pilots statistics, the pilot that rammed  Emil had 12 war missions and 6 confirmed kills, I will miss him!

So "Rugby" is not coming back?...."Fallen with the Braves!"...He is coming back under another callsign like "Football", "Rubicon", etc.... You are gonna miss yourself! But you keep the same callsign in that Forum! It is an interesting idea to actually keep the stats of the virtual pilots, virtually  dead and alive.  

 

Donc "Rugby" ne reviendra pas!..."Mort au champs d'honneur!"...Il reviendra sous un different sobriquet comme "Football", "Rubicon", etc...Tu vas te manquer. Mais tu garde le meme sobriquet dans ce forum! C'est une idee interessante de garder les stats de pilot virtuel, mort ou vivant!

Très souvent dans ton coin (la californie est ma deuxième maison   ) Montgomery field est mon port d'attache quand je vole aux US.

Je retourne d'ailleurs la bas d'ici 1 mois

Par ailleurs, l'insigne dans l'encart de ma photo (a gauche) est celui que je portai quand j'etais dans l'armee de l'air, cela s'appele aussi "Une Pucelle". Cette unite a ete supprimer a la fin de la guerre froide.

 

BTW, the insigna in the picture emplacement, was the patch of my unit when I was in the French Air Force. This unit was disbanded at the end of the cold war.

We had some fun during the mission today. we gave those I-16 a run for their money
