SC_Manu653 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 The community have already made great stuff from the missions editor to offer us the possibility to make some coop oriented campaign. The purpose of that will be the beginning of the semi-historical campaign that I want to held with the 55IAP and his 216th and the 4./JG52 and his Zerstörergeschwader (OKL) . The campaign should not be of more then 32 peoples and be located to small objectives. Most of the times destructible by Jabo duties. 30 min to coordinate and fly toward objective 15min fight and 15min for coming back. We want to keep an objective of no more than 1h15min. It's like smaller SNBF for us with a taste of semi-historical campaign played as DiD. We use something like an logbook application on our website for that. This event can give us the chance to the community to fly together in a simulation event some Campaign already made by Coconut and slightly modified for the purpose. My first objective for testing it will be the Novomask area (well known to the FNBF and SNBF community). The objectives can be played during 2 or 3 missions, one mission each week, inter-connected during the historical event. We have two scheduled timing for the campaign an EU timing: (to be confirmed) an NA timing: Wednesday 20H00 EDT ( http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/ for time check) * The event length are supposed to be of +/- 60 minutes

RedBravo65 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I'd be interested in the VVS side. Put me down please.
SC_Manu653 Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Great to have you both RedBravo65 and GrendelsDad.
curiousGamblerr Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Hey Manu, thanks for organizing things as usual. I'm 90% sure I can make this, so please put me down for VVS. Apologies if for some reason I can't be there- my schedule during the week is less predictable than Saturday for SNBF.
ACG_pezman Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Hey Manu, I'd like to reserve four (4) spots for the 71st who will be attending this event. And thanks for getting another event going, the community owes you man. Oh, and thank-you to Lucas who brought this event to my attention, hadn't seen it on the forums. See you all in the skies

ACG_pezman Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Yeah, I need to make that four (4) reserved slots at least five (5) now. This just happens to maybe be on a good night for the 71st. I'm hoping to see more than five 71st attending this event. Thanks again Manu
GrendelsDad Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 looks like we are flying into a hellstorm...I love it.
GrendelsDad Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 1. I hope this barge is really large like the ones on the OHIO river. I have yet to sink a boat in this game. 2. I hope it has AA guns for us to fly into. that is all.
SC_Manu653 Posted April 26, 2016 Author Posted April 26, 2016 If we missed the barge you will get more AA !!!

GrendelsDad Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Unless they allow kamikaze attacks my chances of hitting the boat are slim...add in your guys air cover my chances just went to none. Sounds like my kind of flight.

Sounds like my kind of flight. Yeah, it's looking like our small community is starting to grow. I can only imagine how fun a scrimmage between two comprable sized forces (but if VVS has more we'll call it historical

SC_Manu653 Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Axis NA time please. You are in ! Glad to see you. Have company tonight but I will try next time. Have a good evening ! See you next time.
SCG_Neun Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Summary of event: We flew an AI packed mission which created some lag issues that will be addressed, more than likely with a less AI filled environment. We got some experience hosting and the next mission US based should be a full fledged (DID) event as we tweak the arena and become more organized. Kudos to all participants, Kondor and his friends and of course 71st squadron, RedBravo and CuriousGambler. We certainly are going to have action in these events, no doubt about that...
GrendelsDad Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 All problems aside...watching 8 or 9 109s taxi together was really cool.
SCG_Neun Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 You're right Grendel and all this proves that we can have a mission oriented historical combat environment without 80 planes up in the air. I mean you can play squad level combat simulations and you can play grand scale Army Group size combat simulations and I find the smaller ones more focused, less start up problems and frankly more enjoyable. But to each their own.
Nocke Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 RL annoyances surged, probably I will not be able to join this evening ...
GrendelsDad Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Right Neun...I couldn't have kept track of any more 109s if I wanted too. Not confusing in comms. even with all of us in same chat because we all had same focus and goal. The run up to the boat was flawless. Edited April 28, 2016 by 6./ZG1_GrendelsDad
ACG_pezman Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Right Neun...I couldn't have kept track of any more 109s if I wanted too. Not confusing in comms. even with all of us in same chat because we all had same focus and goal. The run up to the boat was flawless. Lol, we could not find that boat for the longest time. We had no clue what to do so we just orbited the city. Then curiousGamblerr suggested attacking ground targets (which I didn't know we should do), and right then we saw the message saying German tanks had just entered Novomaksimovskiy and were capturing it... we had five minutes to clear them out and we were all sitting on the runway, at least four minutes to get to target. Lots of fun though. We really enjoyed the combat, shooting 87's and their escort, then getting jumped by five 109's and joining those 87's on the ground. Thanks for doing this guys, the community really needs more events to get people invested in just how amazing this sim can be.
RedBravo65 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I had a great time although for the first part once I got separated from some of the 71st Squadron pilots I wondered around lost in the map. Still, no one shot me down. Second part stayed with them like white on rice. Thanks to the hosts who did the work putting this all together. It was most immersive. As someone said regarding watching 109s take off, I got to watch LAGGs and I-16s do their massive take-off and it was inspiring! I will definitely participate again.
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Congratulations to 4./JG 52! They did get to the barge, and stopped it right on its tracks. Our revengeful 216th bunch did a great job shooting down the assailants but that barge wasn't going anywhere.
GrendelsDad Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Yes Lucas the first bombing run...was my 109 w/250...followed by Oggi I believe. We both scored hits. But Peter was on my tail as soon as my bomb dropped. Made some aggressive turns hoping he would over fly me. All the while bullets whizzing by until 20-30 seconds end as I was out of energy Peter put a layer of lead into my left wing. This drove me down hard and fast as I was able to belly land though it was a rough one. Nice pursuit Peter...I made a few good turns but a few more sloppy ones and you wasted no time in capitalizing. This all off the top of my head. I will edit if I find anything worthy on the track. Then Jizzo killed everyone and sunk everything. Edited April 28, 2016 by 6./ZG1_GrendelsDad
GrendelsDad Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Red Bravo. My 1st experience exactly...that is the best way to navigate and is most rewarding when you do find your way home or too the target. Alot of our missions take place over the areas we were tonight...you will get to know them very well. Edited April 28, 2016 by 6./ZG1_GrendelsDad

RedBravo, you are welcomed in that arena anytime. Same pw, as are all the regulars to the campaign. I'm in the process of switching out servers with a bit more CPU for dealing with all that AI.
