Damn.....he killed Stukas! Where can I downvote?

Fun aside, thats some deadly precision.

Epic!

I find it too accurate , but if it was historical it might be too frustrated. I have bombed moving ships from 4 K with 2 x 500 kg bombs.

I hit target better as level bombing than I do as a dive bomber

I find levelbombing in DED server very challenging and rewarding, being able to navigate into a good IP and level bomb , then find your way back to airbase give me a lot

Nice bombing

Nice bombing

I guess we don't get wind gusts in the sim so you can be sure the wind is constantly blowing at the exact same speed and direction.

Well I have never had misses due to wind, mostly a fighter come and shoot my engine away and I cannot set my speed correctly since it decrease too fast . I never miss a target if  I have spotted it in time for autopilot correction in both sides bombsight,

I am not in favor of making it historical in accurate since we seldom see a big formation of bombers making up for the inaccurate bombing.

It take a bit of work hitting your mark and what Zebra is doing here is great craftsmanship, I do not want to take that away from him.

It is easier to hit target in COD in my opinion, so I would not change this. We are few enough bomber pilots as is

In a computer-environment there will always be less complexity and thus more potential accuracy. But I think it is mostly fine as it.. for most gamemodes, from a gameplay mechanics standpoint.

Any precision run needs around some 20km approach with target observation to let speed settle and so on, and any fighter cover prevents that effectivly. Even just watching out for opposition makes it more difficult to get precision. So if you take the time to get to altitude and plan a good approach avoiding fighters, I think the then archiveable precision is kind of a gameplay reward. I mean in the more casual servers like WoL I see people in fighters sometimes die three times with 2 kills or so until I´m even at the target... and taking that hourlong flight (while others are allready on their 3rd journey in a yak on the deck) only to have a chance factor make you miss "realistically" doesn´t seem like gameplay mechanic that would encourage anybody to use bombers or do those gamemodes any good.

If you want a more complex mission like FNBF and want to include chances off missing beyond player skill or control you can simply limit the optainable wind information.

I tested it a bit and my results are that with crosswind just 2m/s windspeed error in bombing from 6000m make you miss bei enough for building sized target to clear the blast zone of a single bomb, though you still got fairly good chances of not missing target if you throw a cluster of bombs at the target. If you could find a way to "falsify" the weatherinfo in the bombsight just a tiny bit, you would have simply prevented any "gamey" single bomb target splitting.

And off course, ships are hitable from high, because they don´t change course. That´s something that a real ship simply wouldn´t do at all.. see planes overhead and sail on without a single degree of rudderchange.

There's a point....most servers probably have wind always coming from the same direction.....mine does. If you really change it around 30-50 degrees different at each alitude does the wind affect the bombs as they pass through each wind layer? That would be quite cool

It does but in a factory not enough for missing entirely. And if you make it too difficult I think you will find less bombing.

Most of the time it is enough to set wind direction approximately in the middle of all directions given, and a mid range of wind strength to hit a building.  Setting wind should not be done in order to make levelbombing impossible, but merely more realistic
