Antialiasing in clouds

I am still getting major jaggies when viewing planes against the clouds.  Otherwise, Antialiasing at 4x with sparse grid SS is near perfect.  I know this was a problem for others early on but haven't seen any posts about it lately.  Is there a fix for this I'm missing? Using GTX 970.

Thx, Labroisse

No fix, it is a limitation of the technology they use.

It is much improved from EA but Zami is right, it is a limitation of the tech, and likely will never be completely eliminated.

Just so folks know... this still exists in War Thunder as well. I suspect for the same technological reasons.

But how about Rise Of Flight?! Best clouds iv´e ever seen! No jaggies at all and should use same game engine

RoF uses other and outdated technology for the clouds. For BoS/BoM we've made new clouds but they have some restrictions.

to be honest ROF clouds were very nice and I dont see a big improvement in BOS clouds but ugly jaggies on plane shapes I see very well...IMHO, that was a bad decision. Otherwise BOS is fantastic.

What is the advantage of new technology (when the old one was better) when it causes such a big bug that almost all have complained? Clouds are one of the flight simulator's vital components, and beyond this bug, as you know the clouds textures in BOS rotates and switches all the time, when you flyby!

I haven't spent much time with RoF but its clouds always did the small puffy clouds pretty well and some larger formations okayish but not the kind of detail and quality that I've seen out of BoS/BoM.

Other than the jaggies I like the BoS clouds much better.

The RoF clouds aren't perfect, either - I do like them better in a lot of respects, but they do suffer from occasional "creeping jerkiness" and/or some flashing/popping issues from time to time.

My only issue with RoF clouds is when you fly through what you think is a fairly clear part, and then you go blind.
