Looks really nice. There are times when you really get that old Forgotten Battles feeling in this game.

I was flying a Mc 202 mission in campaign, which i had completed, it was late afternoon and rather cloudy and i was returning to my home field. Then the sun broke through the cloud behind me and lit the cockpit just for a moment.

 

When experiencing effects like this you appreciate what an excellent flight sim this really is.

Completely agree! This sim is beautiful a lot of the time and the way that the weather, lighting, shadows, and fogging work really help create some spectacular scenes!

 

Another is the late day with the sun at a low angle and some heavy clouds. You get the "god rays" poking through the breaks in the cloud but with dark clouds and the contrast is just stunning.

Climbing through a full overcast and flying 'VFR on top' is very pleasing and convincing

Actually Dak, that is one of my favorite things to do.  Get in a Pe 2 and climb out above the weather and just set up a nice trimmed out cruise and enjoy the view.
