Did the Klimov engine really kope with this kind of rpm over so long time? I always reduce it to 2300 rpm on level flight. I also question its engine performance and mixture management at high altitude. The engine tolerate 100% mixture at 5 K altitude , I know the ending suffocate at high altitude but the prop pitch should be able to take more air the higher you fly.

I am no expert, but I do not think this is modeled quite right, if it is then I am sorry to bring it up.

I like to level bomb targets noticeable from high altitude, but you made me want to take it down low, entertaining video, thx for sharing

Nice video Mastiff! :)

Luse, the Klimov was design to only allow the pilot to run it within nominal limits. In other words, 2750 RPM and full throttle can be ran ad-eternum so long as you keep the engine from overheating. Not sure about the mixture though.
