Seems like that, at last, you have to follow procedures to produce good results, paying attention to speed, angle of descent, locking your tailwheel and many other little and big details and procedures that make the difference between a good landing and a smoking hole in the ground. Realistic ground and landing behaviour have often been overlooked in the world of simulation, but they're one of the most important parts of flying, so kudos to the devs for having managed to translate this crucial aspect in the sim.
