1CGS LukeFF Posted April 14, 2016 1CGS Posted April 14, 2016 it seems BoS may only run on 64 bitis this true Yes where was this announced In the developer diaries, as usual.
TG-55Panthercules Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) I must admit that the first time through I didn't catch the fact that when they introduced the 64-bit capability that it meant that BoS/BoM would ONLY work on 64-bit now, but after going back and reading the announcement I guess that's what they meant: Fourth, the sim now has 64-bit architecture. 4. The sim is 64-bit application now, Also, I see that they have updated the "system requirements" for the game on the store website to clearly state that you have to have a 64-bit version of Windows (although I've got to say it's kinda hard to find where they put those requirements): System RequirementsOS: 64-bit Windows® CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Quad 2.6 GHz+ or Intel® Core™ i5/i7 2.6 GHz+ GPU: 1024 Mb+, GeForce GTX 260+/Radeon HD5850+ RAM: 4 Gb+ Sound: DirectX 9.0c/11 compatible Free Hard Drive space: 10 Gb+ Internet Connection Required for Registration, Campaign Mode, Multiplayer and Statistics Tracking. 256 Kb/s for single-player and 1 Mb/s for multiplayer I would have thought they would have been a little clearer or at least more prominent about making the point that 32-bit was no longer supported (especially with a change like this that, while they had previously said they were working on it, came as something of a surprise to a lot of people as far as the timing if it), but I guess there must not be very many people still using 32-bit OS these days, or I think we would have seen more than just the couple of threads I've noticed where people have raised this issue. BeastyBaiter Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Your motherboard is 64bit compatible (barely). The processor you listed doesn't appear to exist, so must be a typo. It's gotta be a 64bit CPU though, no one has made a 32bit processor in nearly 10 years and I think all but the very first generation core 2's are 64bit anyways. In any case, this should help you verify if your system is 64bit compatible and if so, how to switch windows 10 versions: http://www.howtogeek.com/228042/how-to-switch-from-32-bit-windows-10-to-64-bit-windows-10/
