I was going to make a cinematic but then I thought that you just cannot capture the excitement and stress of the whole flight. The flight time was 1 hour 20 minutes and I was exhausted when we landed :D That had to be one of the most insanely exciting missions we've ever flow and the ending was just unbelievable!! 15 minutes before I can upload

For people who lost a tail wheel can you tell the more about the circumstances....did it happen on the grass or as you got on to the taxiway? From what I saw of Coconut's video it looked like it happened at very slow speeds on the grass. I'm going to select all and set on ground just in case there is an issue there.
coconut Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 The devs should add a proper parking area. Maybe they meant for us to spawn in the booths, but that doesn't work well because of spacing. What you could do is move the spawn point closer to the taxiway, so that no one has to travel more than 10m in the rough. Alternatively, use the second runway as a parking area. Another possibility is to spawn directly on the runway, ready to take-off. The danger is when landing, but you can dedicate one runway for spawn/take-off, and the other for landing.

All of the other airfields are perfectly fine it just seems to be Klin as far as I can see although we did fly VVS for two weeks solid in testing and never had an issue there. I have moved the spawn point closer to the taxiway for now but I will just move the spawn to another airfield.

But it is not impossible that the tail wheel was damaged shortly before while riding the roller coaster ramp. I flew twice from here on winter map. I spawned alone. The park was smooth. No jumps. Wednesday we were 5 Pe2.The number of large aircraft would it matter ? Or bug with autumn map ? The solution proposed by Coconut can be enough since we can manage a short drive to the taxiway. I was just on it for a couple sorties, had the place to myself (which was great for navigation and ground attack practice). I went looking for the depot (primary target) just north of Kotlyakovo. On my second sortie, I took out the big AA emplacement in the field just west of the target. It got me on my first sortie...bast*rds waited until I was just a couple seconds from dropping on the depot. The extra engine armor on my Emil allowed me to make it back to our lines before my motor died. I didn't stick around to find the heavy caliber AA emplacement that was peppering the sky around me with flak bursts. Well Done BTW...watched your video. Here's a RL tip on how to determine which engine failed. Here in the States we teach, "Dead foot, dead engine." You needed right rudder. How do I know? I saw the Ball displaced well to the right on your turn and slip indicator. That's another hint in the heat of battle. So your left foot was "dead" (no pressure required) while your right boot was pushed to the firewall. And if all else fails...look out the window at your motors. Cheers! 1
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 I was asking about which engine number (in game) i.e. to feather (#1 or #2) as it was a slightly stressful situation and my memory went blank and I didn't want to feather the wrong one but thanks for the info. I think the flak feels more realistic, you might notice there is no 37mm bofors on these sites and instead loads of 4 barrel MGs instead. My feeling is the 37mm are snipers and far too accurate (in RL it took 1000 rounds for each aircraft destroyed) so I am experimenting with this....the other alternative is to give the Russians 20mm Flak38 but it's a bit of an immersion killer. This way you will get punished for bad flying but you still get a chance to RTB unlike the insta-wing removal of the 37mm. At the moment the MGs are just normal but for the co-ops I am going to add in a couple of Ace AI gunners....they are not too hard to defeat if you use the right tactic. Also the MGs just look fricking cool as hell when they start blazing away lol Glad you had fun and thanks for the feedback
busdriver Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) Yesterday evening I came back for more navigation practice in a Bf-110 with a low altitude attack on the fuel depot.The green line was my planned route, and the orange was closer to my actual ground track. I only took 67% fuel...should have gone with 50% based on my takeoff roll. On course at the first turn point. After turn point 3 I found myself right of course passing the secondary target airfield off my right wing. Off in the distance at my 10 to 11 o'clock I spotted the target. I descended from 300 to 100 meters in height. Passing abeam the target, looking for a conflagration...some damage, target still serviceable. Safely home after 39 minutes flying time, sadly my gunner Fritz succumbed to his wounds. What a fun server! Edited May 15, 2016 by busdriver 2

Settings are hard and might be the reason why it´s not full but I personally like servers were encounters are rare, getting into fight is more rewarding. We were lucky to find couple 87´s with good drivers (Genius and ?) and took a sightseeing tour with them, much fun Keep up the good work, see you up there! 1

That's unfortunately a bug, it should normally report mission time every 30min. We will fix this as soon as possible. As Custard said we're in the initial stage of mission building and hopefully will be able improve on it in future.

We will work on fixing the Issues in a timely Manner though. We hope you enjoy your Stay anyways. The Server is a Home PC in the UK with Consumer Grade Internet Connection so the Occasional Instability has to be expected. We are looking forward to creating Co-Op Missions in the future, hopefully and most likely starting with Ju-52s in adverse Conditions, Night, Snow and Bad Visibility are about as challenging an enemy if not more so than enemy Fighters.
