F/JG300_Gruber Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Here's our first bomb run. Cockpit POV with Audio Nice coordination there. I had a good laugh with your garbage talking of the beginning Side note, I hadn't thought my accent was THAT horrible until today Edited April 28, 2016 by F/JG300_Gruber

I had a good laugh with your garbage talking of the beginning Side note, I hadn't thought my accent was THAT horrible until today He he yes we do talk utter rubbish sometimes....I think we developed this from the long flights which can be boring if everyone is quiet You only have to listen to the "I'm building a dyke" conversation in one of the other videos to see how bad it can get....most of our recordings (when training) aren't fit for human ears without huge warnings and 18+!!!! lol but we do take it serious on the real missions. and don't worry everyone hates their own voice....I cringe every time I hear mine lol
I./JG1_Baron Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Some pictures from yesterday - we were attacking russian airbase (secondary target) and 3 from us defended north factory. Successfully 2
6./ZG26_Emil Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Very nice Baron How did you find the flak? Was it hard or easy?
I./JG1_Baron Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 When we did attack on airfield, one Bf-110E-2 was heavy damaged by flak. But i think that Flak is good balanced 1
Urra Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Emil, from your experience would folks on your full real servers like to have continuous flak (that can be destroyed) as soon as they cross the front line, as long as it isn't laser accurate and there for the visuals if it was possible?

Yes 100% I am currently using coconuts groups but modified to the way I like
Urra Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) Good to hear, Spent a bit of time populating a Stalingrad map all across the map which can be used as a short cut (just deleting areas that won't be covered by a mission, and leaving in the stuff that is needed by the mission maker). If it works as intended than I'll post it to the general public, but I need some bodies to stress test it, and see what works. Current limits seem to hover around 500 unspawned guns, and 500 lights without too much adverse stuff taking place. The limit seems also based on the square meter area of zones or the size of the mission file more than the number of guns, so one can keep streamlining to your hearts content or until you're bored. Just place many smaller zones in one larger zone. Single player loads seem higher right now which wasn't the case before the 64bit update. Edited April 29, 2016 by roaming_gnome

I think that would look awesome especially for us bomber crews, I think the lights aren't as necessary but they would be perfect if placed in small towns etc as that is where troops would be stationed so you would receive small arms fire if you flew on them. At the moment I am not using the 37mm M1939 as they just seem to be snipers. Historically it should require ~1000 rounds to hit an aircraft (granted they increase the accuracy due to game limitations and you cannot have the lots of guns on a target) but it seems to happen frequently and results in wings getting snapped off more often that not. This is just an experiment though, I am going to test the German targets now to see if it's balanced. When we did attack on airfield, one Bf-110E-2 was heavy damaged by flak. But i think that Flak is good balanced Thanks
Urra Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 From what others have said here the flak won't work properly without a light nearby during night. Early dawn raids don't feel right without lights somehow. The items placed so far are on medium or low accuracy, and will most likely end up on low settings. Only single 37mm at airstrip locations so far, nowhere else.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Ah sorry I thought you mean light AAA :D
Urra Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) Ah sorry I thought you mean light AAA :D You are right, light gun fire is more appropriate in smaller towns, and I will change some of these out, but running into quantities issue makes it a bit of a headache. Thanks for the input. Edited April 29, 2016 by roaming_gnome
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 I have now created a thread in the E-Sports (that name is bloody terrible!) Section so that people who are interested in co-ops can see what they need to do if they are interested in a regular Sunday night mission http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/22221-zg26-sunday-night-impromptu-co-op-bom-only/
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 And my new insignia! Just some minor note, this should be either Glücklicher Hase (adjective + noun) or - whats way more common - Glückshase (combined noun). Sry for off topic.
SOLIDKREATE Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Oh no I always appreciate German speaking people correcting me. I will fix it asap! Danke for the information!
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 (edited) server? was looking for it today. Edited May 2, 2016 by 71st_Mastiff
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 Sorry Mastiff it's down for testing. I'll put it back up shortly
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 its ok, I was on menacing ferrets and they seem to have a expert manual problem can you tell them, I cant find them..I couldn't operate the 110 in manual mode.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 Sorry mastiff I have to pull it down again, it will probably be restarted several times in the next hour while I try something so I will password it until I put it back up
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I had a good time talking with you gents yesterday - hopefully I can make next Sunday's flight! 2
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 I look forward to it Looks like we're going to have a lot of fun soon
coconut Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Emil, the spawn at Klin airfield is problematic. You start in the rough. It's manageable, but lots of otherwise competent pilots had trouble with it. I didn't count, but it felt like about 1/3rd of the pilots had to respawn due to damaging something (like the tail wheel) or getting stuck.
6./ZG26_Custard Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Cheers for the heads up on that coconut. I'll let Emil know asap and he can iron out any issues.

I would really appreciate it if anyone has video/shadowplay of this. We have flown many many missions from Klin without any problems and all spawns at every airfield are on grass.
CCG_bexhausted Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I would really appreciate it if anyone has video/shadowplay of this. Sadly i have no tracks but only a screen of damaged tail wheel losted on taxiway. I agree with Coconut it was very very hard to reach taxiway.Indeed we lost 6 Pe2 more or less damaged or stuck in the mud. Exactly when leaving the taxiway on airfield and that we find ourselves mired. The ramp where we spawned was exactly the same. After finally take off the mission was superb. Some screens : Thanks to all ! 1
coconut Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I would really appreciate it if anyone has video/shadowplay of this. We have flown many many missions from Klin without any problems and all spawns at every airfield are on grass. Not from yesterday, but I went back today. My first spawn in a Pe2 went well enough, then I tried again in a Mig: I had to be a bit rough on the throttle to get moving in the first place, but then I broke my tail even though I reduced the throttle after I got unstuck. Yesterday my first spawn threw me into one of the parking place walls because I was a bit distracted (was setting up my flaps limiter for combat). After I respawned, I was more careful and got stuck in a bump in the grass, instead. No amount of boost could get me moving again.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Some screens form our wednessday sorty (had a couple of more cool shots, but had a driver crash so they're gone unforutnately...). It was a nice and exiting mission after all and we've seen some good action in both of our sorties. Unfortunately, my connection wasn't to my favour so I ended up getting disconnected multiple times that day...Luftwaffe really has to impriove on it's communication systems! Looking forward to Sunday. 1
