What version of Visual C++ is required to run il2 BoS ?

A friend just installed win 7 64 bit to be able to play the new 64 bit version of BoS / BoM, but he's getting a runtime error with APPCRASH message :-/

He most likely needs to reinstall the 2008 VC++ redistributable package: https://www.microsoft.com/en-pk/download/confirmation.aspx?id=15336
