jaydee Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Ive harped on about Re-booting in other Treads. TO REBOOT IN WIN 10......DO NOT SELECT "RESTART" IN THE WIN MENU......SELECT "Shut down/Power Off. Count to Ten and turn on you PC again. That how you Must reboot in Win 10. Trust me lads. j
9./JG27golani79 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) ? Never had any troubles with the restart option - why would you power down if you only wanna reboot? Edited April 9, 2016 by 9./JG27golani79
No_85_Gramps Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 If I remember correctly "shut-down" saves the fast start info for when you restart. Doing a reboot bypasses the fast start data, in essence doing a "clean boot". I have not had a problem with either after 10 was updated to not re-enumerate USB devices on a restart.
Yakdriver Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 i push the button for 5 seconds like a pillow in the face of a suffocating person... and just wait for it to die... shhhhh... it will be over soon... 1
seafireliv Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Never had an issue with Win 10 restart or shut downs. But then I got rid or turned off a lot of things that Win 10 likes to do. it meant I had to do without Cortana (no big loss, a gimmick really), but I have a Windows that`s almost exactly like Win 7 now.
