Dave Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I'm actually not a fan of air-starts but to cut time in training I rely upon them in ACM Quick Missions. Something that continues to frustrate is that aircraft seem to always start in some state other than max-cruise balanced level flight. This is particularly annoying in the P40 which seems to start just above stall speed at flight idle and WAY out of trim. By the time you got engine speed up to MCP, airspeed up to somewhere you can manoeuvre and trimmed for straight and level you've been destroyed head on. Could you please have aircraft air-start trimmed for straight and level flight at max continuous power at corner speed with other settings as they would be just prior to entering a fight - e.g. instrument lights on, radiators set appropriately for the altitude, season and engine load, etc. Thanks. 1
LLv34_Untamo Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 S! Seconded. And same goes for starting planes on the ground too. Having to always put mixture to 100% in russian planes before pressing start is an unnecessary chore which frustrates when you forget it -> engine doesn't start after the long startup process -> have to wait through the whole process again. It should be 100% as default.
