Any help on this error would be great

Hey Guys

I just tried out my server and I get this error message any ideas...

You probably already have this link, but just in case:

Make sure that IP is correct and the same as sds file, and you can check your ports with this tool:

 

http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

 

Make sure you have the Dserver running to check those ports.  Check firewall...turn all the way off for testing...and then use the exceptions rule later.  Also Anti-virus.  Believe me, I'm still having troubles with mine...It's a matter of trial and error.

 

Also..they slipped in another update, so make sure your server account is updated as well.

Thanks I did read that page and I have bookmarked that site. Thanks My ports are open according to this app I downloaded called PF Port Checker but the link you sent me says their closed. Thats weird!  My game is update as well.

I can login in no problem but when it goes to load the mission it takes about 10-15 seconds and then it comes up with the error message. Im hoping that some one may have gotten the same error and can tell me how to correct it. Thanks

A few things to check:

 

- Make sure the mission type is set to "Deathmatch".

 

- Make sure that the IP address is the server address, not the router address. Also check that the server IP you specified is the current one (it can change if you reboot your router).

 

  To find the server IP, do the following on the DServer PC:

  1. Type "Cmd" in the Windows search box and press Enter.

      A command window opens.

  2. In the command window, type "ipconfig" and press Enter.

     The "IPv4 Address" line gives the DServer IP address.

 

- Make sure that the mission files are in the directory specified in your mission .list file.

 

- Try removing the underscore from the mission name. Jupp told me that you should not have any hyphens, underscores, etc. in mission names.

OK

Here's what I did

 

I opened the mission and changed it from Coop to Deathmatch and saved and exited.

Then I  tried to connect with Firewall off and still got this error

My Ipvp4 when I ran the IPconfig stated that it was 10.0.0.5  So I tried to change it in the Dserver

Great Job...Glad it's going for you.  I'm still having some weird issues with mine.  People can come to the server...but we can't see each other..Invisible planes...
