seafireliv Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I really like to play my games with as little resources being used up in the background as possible, which often means going offline if I play game. Also, what if we lose the net? Are we screwed out of the Campaign? Is there really no way to fly this sim offline in Campaign? Edited April 3, 2016 by seafireliv

Yakdriver Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 You do not have a Campaign. like - at all.You have a menu button that sends a request to the BoS Servers to write a Campaign mission for you.So that is why you need to be online to play THE campaign.... at least i think.

I don't think the external server actually generates the mission itself, but it needs the connection to track the scoring.
seafireliv Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I see... Well, thanks for the info anyway. PWCG W C G Y`know that means very little when you`ve never heard of it before. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/99-pwcg-bos/ Thankyou. I had a feeling someone would have found something. I take it this is a kind of offline DCG? Will check it out, Edited April 3, 2016 by seafireliv
Finkeren Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 PWCG is a nifty tool. The missions it creates aren't always perfect, but the program is constantly improving and currently Silverstein some of the most immersive gameplay in the sim. Compared to the campaign it has the added benefit, that you can use any difficulty settings you like, rather than choose between two extremes.

Now I can play truly Offline when I feel like it. I also like the added personality. It`s this kind of utility that makes me know I have invested my money wisely, much like DCG did. Now just to get a decent rudder and throttle quadrant set up.
