HagarTheHorrible Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Have a list of spotted bugs and then a poll type vote button in order to determine how widespread problems might be.
JaMz Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Have a list of spotted bugs and then a poll type vote button in order to determine how widespread problems might be. They also need System specs mate
HagarTheHorrible Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Just like the polls you can leave a message such as specs but it means the Dev's can very quickly see what the leading problems are and if people aren't overly happy writing in the forums then at least they can still contribute and make themselves heard. Another advantage is others can see if others are having the same problem and if it might be easy to find a fix.
SYN_Haashashin Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Is it possible to report a bug? You are just kidding right??? http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/58-technical-issues-and-bug-reports-discussion/ 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted April 24, 2014 1CGS Posted April 24, 2014 Have a list of spotted bugs and then a poll type vote button in order to determine how widespread problems might be. Why? That's why we have an early access discussion forum. 1
LLv34_Flanker Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 S! Mechwarrior Online uses similar system. Users can add their answer to a poll of known issues and add their hardware setup. This helps devs to ID bugs and how widespread they are and if related to certain hardware. So why not.
BraveSirRobin Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 A bug poll is actually pretty useless unless it's something that the dev team sets up. For instance, I'm seeing terrible frame rates below 150m sometimes. Another user is having terrible frame rates when they attack trains. How do we know whether or not we're seeing the same problem? Just report the bugs that you see. 1
HagarTheHorrible Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 There seem to be lot's of threads popping up that I initiated ages ago and thought we're long dead. The only reason I thought that a "bug" poll would be a good idea was that people could quickly see if others were having similar issues, how widespread it was and follow any specific solutions without having to trawl through several vaguely similar sounding threads etc. The developers could identify what they think are real bugs from the chaff before starting a poll thread to concentrate, consolidate and gauge the breadth of the problem. It might just help everyone ?

LLv34_Flanker Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 S! This is exactly how MWO does it: a clear bug reported by many turned into a poll by devs for more feedback and info. Why could it not work in BoS if it works in MWO? And yes, they have a small team too working on the title.
FuriousMeow Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Because MWO is further along in its development cycle by at least a year and a half. I had beta approval and access in August 2012. Edited April 24, 2014 by FuriousMeow
