jaydee Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Hey Lads, Save yourselves a lot of Headaches and Re-installs. I have had NO installation or Controls Problems with Bos after 3 years. I ve upgraded my hard ware Numerous times. With a new Patch we are all keen to Try It.....Do a Reboot and let all your new DLL's etc get "Seen". One 2 minute Reboot now may save you Tons of drama Later. Just Get into the Habit of it 1 ~S~ 3
Dakpilot Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Maybe there is some truth to this I always do a re-boot after a patch (and driver update even though they say this is no longer needed) and am still on original install and also have not suffered the control issues that some have good advice! Cheers Dakpilot
Trooper117 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I do this after every patch, yet still I have to reconfigure my controls each time, it's a bloody nightmare!
Rjel Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I do this after every patch, yet still I have to reconfigure my controls each time, it's a bloody nightmare! Do you not save a copy of your input folder in safe place?
EMS2/4_kerlir Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Hi,I play with windows XP pro 32 and with the last update I can't launch the game with the message:Il2.exe n'est pas une application Win32 valide. What can I do to go back to play alone or.... Thanks
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) Is XP capable of running 64 bit systems? No, and that is precisely Kerlir's problem. Kerlir, 32-bit Windows XP doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for the game. -snip- One 2 minute Reboot now may save you Tons of drama Later. Just Get into the Habit of it -snip- +1 - so many PC/application issues can be solved with a quick reboot. Edited April 4, 2016 by Space_Ghost
SYN_Mike77 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Well I seem to be having some Windows compatibility problems of my own and I have a 64 bit Windows 7 system. Since 2.01 has come out I have had several instances of the game causing my rig to shut down and then Windows wont boot up. I completely unistalled my game and reinstalled it and that seemed to help until the latest patch and now I am back to the game shutting down my rig in mid flight and then Windows hanging. I can play other games (including RoF) for hours with out a problem but for now I think I will be uninstalling BoS/BoM for a while at least. It's too bad because it looks and feels better than ever.
DD_Arthur Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Mike; do you have any sort of overlay or fps counter running in the background?
SYN_Mike77 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 No I thought overwolf might be the problem so I uninstalled it before reinstalled BoS/Bom. I did not have this problem before 2.01.

Mike, a suggestion. Lower All your Graphics Settings to Rock bottom and try again. ?
