Hi,

Hopefully this can be a  place where skinners, (advanced and new), can share their layer creations, idea's, personal paint pallets, own textures, etc.. etc. for our community. Any effort, takes a while, so this may just save us some time.

Okay, ill start, here are a few to begin with:

 

A "Rust Texture", Taken via my mobile phone. You can make a Brush with this, or use it as a reference, Inspirational wall paper, or what ever you like. 

 

Here is another version of a restored I/JG 52 Emblem I just recently finished. (will need resizing for the 109)

 

And with this, you should be able to copy and paste the P-40's Wheel Rim, with a transparent Prop Decal .png  to a new layer, (will need alignment from this location).

I made the Wheel Rim for the P-40E. The Prop decal was originally via Pierre64, so all credit goes to Pierre64 for that, thanks mate . I think Pierre made some tyres for the Curtiss also, never know, they might just turn up here?.

A little sth from my side. Zip files include layers in native resolution as .psd files (can be opened by Photoshop and Gimp). Just open the psd, copy & paste it into your skin file.

Agree the cut and paste is the most efficient way to go.

Btw, thankyou 5tuka, that's  beautiful work, very professional.

 

Recently created an imgur album for the Curtiss p-40e.

The first image below is just an example of what's in the box for this Model so to speak.

 

Re: Parts

I tried a little shading on the rear fuselage window. There's a  *.png  for the Alpha Channel as well.

It's quite subtle this  effect, see images below.
