I need bazookas on a J-3 Cub.

Bazooka_Charlie.jpg

And I need Panzerfäuste for Bü181

post-25043-0-65746200-1459077140_thumb.jpg

And apparently Po-2s were able to carry RS-82 rockets, I think up to 10, or 4 in combination with bombs.

Like the one in Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin?

IMG_5042_blogger.jpg

(picture is not mine)

Those were more one of a kind conversations and - as far as the Panzerfaust mounting goes - not very effective.

Shche-2 looks to be an interesting aircraft, but I fear pure transport aircraft are the least likely to be released (Ju-52 at least was used as paradrop and bomber aircraft, same counts for the Li-2).

Did the Technikmuseum have an Upgrade to the Collection tha last couple of years? Haven't been there for a couple of years now.

Last time I've been there was ~ 2 years ago. By than they added some parts and section of the Fw-200 which currently is undergoing restoration but other than that it was pretty much the same comapred to the time I visited it before (~4 yeras by now).

Fw 189 A would probably add the most, assuming that the missions would work out. Flying recon, while occasionally supporting advancing troops (taking out a AT position to support an attack or something like that) could be interesting. So more "on-demand" type of missions with contact to the ground forces, instead of "fly to target position and destroy this target" type of missions. It was also active for a pretty long time and could serve basically everywhere.

Li-2 could be fun too, especially if they add paratroopers or even gliders. The Russians could definately need a transport plane. And of course modifying it to the DC-3 to allow its use in other theatres shouldn't be a problem.

what I'd like to have is BV141 :)  it's gonna be very interesting to fly it!

The Lopsided Lulu!  Too bad they only made a couple of them.

Gotta be the Fiesler Storch. It's the only WWII aircraft in Vienna's military musuem and it's a lovely aircraft. Lots of scope for "special missions".  Looking forward to short field landings in villages behind enemy lines, etc!

Hopefully, at some point we will see the Brewster 239 and Hawk 75

I hate when people post stuff like that...

Do know Mr Blohm and Mr Voss were Nazis? Or the workman constructing those aircraft?

Do you think the people who flew them in combat were ideology blinded Nazis? Or maybe just oridnary pilots doing their duty indipendently from the internal politics of their country?

I get it's a joke, but in it's core it carries the same message.

Sry for off topic.

Chatfield coined the acronym DFTT for this Phenomenon. You Sir have just been trapped in an argument on the Internet. It's a Trap. First one to get offended automatically looses.

You are literally worse than Hitler. Now wait as I go and stare into the Sun.

You do realize that the NSDAP was a socialist thing, don't you?

What do you think the S in the acronym for the name of the party means?

On certain levels the war in the East was a war to see which socialist ideology would control Europe, German national socialism, or Russian communist socialism.

Just sayin'.

My point wasn't having an argument, especially with sby who made very quenstionable posts like this prior.

My point was to get someone thinking before throwing massively abused terms around in a maybe not even bad intendet sense.

Call me what you want, I don't care. And yes I get the joke. Closed case for me.

Back on topic

If we ever see a sea plane scenario I could imagine a pack feauturing the Do-24 and Lend Lease PBY Cataline. Both would be high on my "wishlist".

1. It was a Nationalistic Thing

2. Yes, It means Massive [Edited] Lie

3. The Nazi Movement had no Ideology. They made it up as they went along. The only solid factor in it was race warfare. It's about as consistent as modern Feminism and the Patriarchy. It was Social Justice in Action.

It has nothing to do with Equality, everything with Identity and perpetual Victimhood.

From the trainer and utility side of things, the UT-2 would be fun to have. The U-2 got all the fame, but lots of regiments used the UT-2 instead of liaison and other duties.

The Do 24 has always been a favorite of mine.

Could also be used in a Pacific scenario as the Dutch flew them in the Netherlands East Indies.

In fact one of my flying buddies' grand father (as I recall) was shot down twice by the Japanese while fliying in Do 24s.

Beautiful plane indeed. I saw one a couple of year's ago in the Dutch aviation museum. Very impressive aircraft.

Apologies to you 5tuka.  As you say, it was a jest and not to be taken too seriously.  I like you and don't want to give you grief.

Back on topic for me too...  A stag-antlered Me-110, cruising in the moonlight with the radar operator murmuring in my ear, "Contact bearing three three zero..."  would be just dreamy.

A pure logistic plane though and not too widely used (was popular in the french airforce after the war though).

Same counts for this beauty: He-116

he116-7.jpg

But I woubt they would be very benefitial for the game. In my opinion each aircraft should have a some multirole capebility (just to offer more variety and to increase interest for other players).

The plane wears the swastika on its tail. It is a nazi plane.

The Luftwaffe was the most nazified arm of the German armed forces during the Hitler regime. He distrusted the Navy and Army due to their pre-Nazi history, and with good cause, as the attempt on his life showed. He never distrusted the Luftwaffe: rather he saw it as the truly Nazi arm of the armed forces and had his most trusted lieutenant, Göring, as head of the service.

Of course we cannot say that all Luftwaffe personnel and all aircraft designers were card-carrying Nazis, but there certainly was a huge enthusiasm for Hitler, his ideas (and the huge funding increases he brought to the aviation sector) among them. It would be a historical fallacy to negate the evidence, and it would be an untrue re-writing of history to try to divorce the Luftwaffe from Nazism.

Wasn't going to comment, but seeing as it has been resurrected....personally I thought that Feathered_IV's post was just a rather funny joke and nothing more. Didn't see any deeper intent behind it than that....and still don't. Maybe we should all lighten up a little?

In fact I would describe it as a minor classic of the genre - aircraft humour not exactly being known for producing too many rib-ticklers....

How about a proper trainer aircraft.  This game is not really easy for a novice to learn.  I am slowly trying to add to the realism settings, but it would help if I had a trainer like the ones use at the time period of the early war.
