Steam bug ?

 so what happens is when playing the sim the screen goes a pale white color after a few seconds on the menu screen clicking on graphics and pressing accept fixes the issue but then it still goes back to white screen every time i get a notification of a steam friend is playing (GTA 5 or whatever) . Any ideas ?  thx .

correct yes every time on the loading screen and when steam tells me what games friends are playing .

FIXED after latest patch THX.   you can delete this
