Maybe even better, look at what Bohemia software did for Operation Flashpoint (and I guess now Armaa?). Having scripts mean you can debug them without the need to change all mission files that use them. RoF visibilty distance, zoom etc RoF Flight & damage model RoF Gui, QMB ...

CloD engine management (in depth enough to provide a challenge during combat, not just some candy to play with while cruising around) CloD gunsight adjustments - if you know how to use them and have hotkeys, they're invaluable CloD/original IL2 network code/options - performance and more objects over candy please

My PC just died two days ago and my wife bought a Mac to replace it, so I'm really hoping I can get Bootcamp sorted and try and play these again - it's been ages. - From COD I actually liked being able to personalize your pilot. The game never really worked for me as my PC wasn't man enough to run it, so that's about all I know. - World War 2 planes!!!!! - From RoF the campaign generator was really fun I thought - Pilot biographies and photos (or even the the ability to create your own) - Plane models looked great to me - Ability to run on a wide range of systems - my old one was underspec but it actually ran quite well (on lighter missions) and looked really good. With all the bells and whistles turned on it must be excellent. - Presentation - loved the mission generator menues and career screens

FTC_Karaya Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) This has neither been featured in CoD nor RoF as far as I know but: 1st person bailout animation It's an immersion killer when you are flying your aircraft 1st person, then get shot down by AAA or whatnot and once out of the aircraft you're watching yourself hanging in the chute from over the shoulder I want to see my pilot extract himself from his stricken aircraft first person, maybe experiencing a few somersaults until he has stabilized and is ready to pull the chute, that would be insanely awesome! (though to be fair since the last patch CloD is perfectly stable for me) CloD: Cockpit damage modeling, both graphic and in game engine. CloD: Aircraft interaction with the ground (crash). No bouncing planes, and lets have visual damage to nose of aircraft when hitting the ground at 100 knots +. Also persistent visual representation of crashed aircraft and ground objects. A "clean" battlefield is a total immersion killer. IL2/46: Coops in the original IL2 format. CloD: Full aircraft equipment. None of this having to purchase critical instrument nonsense. RoF: Continued interaction of the developers with the community. Jason and crew are very good at this. RoF/CloD: Maintain the immersive feeling of flight that both sims are quite good at. RoF: Basic GUI/Hangar system. I like the "museum" approach, though updated for WW2., I'm sure there are more, but I have to get back to work... Antique cars don't fix themselves... :D 1

I wish they would take a look at the 3rd party SW that allowed making automated IL2 multi player missions FBDaemon, IL2 Server Commander etc. See the best new features like limiting the number of plane types, different mission goals which need to be achieved for eithe team to win and so on.

COD/every other sim appart from ROF: full instrumentation and weaponry not reliant on paid upgrades. CloD: Cockpit damage (already mentioned I jnow but can't help to push a good thing). ROF: Offline campaign system (suitably modifed to work with a WW2 environment). CloD: CEM 1
