YoYo Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) Hello, what exactly means (in campaign for example) if the other A.I. squadron or distant wingman reported : "fighters, north west, engage, out"? This "north west" is from him, or from my plane or from any bulls eye ;> ? If it's direction from his position it's hard to locate it if we dont know where is he (maybe better for BoM did this numbers of box from the map in this report)? For example: "fighters, south east, engage, 1524-3, out" (we know in this situation that wingman is i n 1524-3 square and he saw enemy plane south east from this position and we can anticipate enemies in 1625-7 (or 4,8, 5 ect) for example. (btw. expert mode for sure). Edited March 20, 2016 by YoYo 1
ACG_pezman Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 It's the location from your aircraft. I was confused too but then one day I heard my wing-man, who was not near me, say that he was engaging an "enemy fighter, to the East, he's close" and I looked to the east and there was a contact... very close. Ever since, when I hear a call-out now it's the first place I look, and sure enough there are the contacts. 2
