Should I avoid levelling up in the campaign?

I'm currently enjoying PWCG, but also had my eye on Career Generator. PWCG, as it does not use the campaign, does not affect your pilot's level, while it seems Career Generator does. When you level up, do the enemies get impossible to beat? I'm not that great (I think I'm a level 4 now). I don't want to ruin the single player experience for myself by making every encounter difficult.

Interesting question. I would say go ahead and level up! It gives u all the unlocks for one. Yes it does get harder which any game should do as you progress ultimately making you a better player. U can always go back to a previous chapter to make it a big easier or fly smarter with your new skill but granted you will find it harder to have a nice relaxing easy flight(what the qmb is for me anyway).

Also think about this; complete the campaign, level up fully and get all the unlocks then switch back to PWCG. Bigo u now have everything for MP and a good sp campaign

Start with the hardest ones: the bombers and attack planes. Above level 10 it's very hard to get any missions done with those.

Leveling up does not mean your enemies get harder in PWCG, just in the vanilla campaigns.

It's worth it for the aircraft skins you unlock alone imo. And while the enemies do get harder as you progress, they don't progress faster than what you do.

I would say they don`t. In standard LW campaign I`m almost at the end right now and I didn`t notice AI getting any better from the very start. Generally AI is insanely good at headon shots but if you stay aware of it, it`s a piece of cake. It can get harder because the way you generate your missions though. Very different situation when you make it a 5v5 from say a 10v10.

How 3rd party generators change that I do not know.

I find QMB duels to be much harder. Not only because in missions mostly I manage my situation but the AI seem to react very differently when there are more aircraft in the same area.

TBH.... I haven't noticed the difference between levels. Is there really that much of a difference?

You have right. Its a pitty. I hope that developer will do something with this. From the level 8+ very big of chance that You will be wounded or pilot killed just one bullet :(.

I hope it will be solved in the near future and no super hero sniper as A.I.

Any idea how to decrease the level of own pilot (maybe in cfg)?

From my pov if you enter Expert Mode, you got Expert AI. No matter if start or end of campaign.
