I am trying to create a mission in which an airbase is attacked. If I populated the base with ju52 (airplanes) they have gunners and they attack. If I populated them with static (but linked) objects, strafing them has no effect. I have been flying missions where I attack airdromes and I can strafe landed planes with no problems. What do I have to do to achieve that result? Cheers.

Set durability value for the static plane block to something like 500-1500 and they will explode like in Chuck Norris movie. Static planes will not have active gunners tho.

Ok Cheers. I will try tonight. I am trying to create a mission with tanks against atillery... I am running into A LOT of trouble. This FMB is the least intuitive thing in the WORLD. It is exactly the same as my ex, whatever I plan, it came out the opposite I intended.

If you get a chance take a look through the shared groups section here or look at some smaller missions to get an idea of how they work. Somewhere I remember that there has to be a height set for artillery to engage. tagets

From pg. 54 of Prangster's Mission Building Guide:

"Guns can only shoot at targets they have a line of sight to. By raising the Attack Area to 500 metres the guns can now see the area they need to fire in to."

~S~ Everyone,

A tip of the wing, is approximately, as good as, a yank, of the cyclic... /

Best wishes, and roses, for those of us still looking...
