After nearly 15 years, Lowengrin.com is closing up shop.

To stay on top of the latest in IL2DCG news, please visit the Forum. There you can find the latest beta and most recent feature and bug discussions even after this site is gone.

Oh wow.

Its like hearing about the death of an old friend.

Just seen this - not only did DCG bring IL2 SP to life for me, but the kind chaps on his forum also immediately solved the problem of eventual memory crashes after long missions: something that the official forum's denizens refused to admit was even an issue.  An outstanding add on.

Even though Lowengrin closed his own site he just released the next beta version of his program.

Additions to Version 3.49

Updated links to online website and support. Improved logic for long distance missions. However, for best results, users should use the Aircraft Class Settings Panel to update the ranges of all active plans to their historical stats.

Note: After installing, remember to reset your basic options and, if using DGen or NGen Replacement modes, make sure these options are re-checked before running IL-2 Forgotten Battles, Pacific Fighters or 1946. Mods which have made changes to the event log may not work with IL2DCG.

So he hasn't quit just yet it seems.

Version 3.49 beta 2 is out now. http://members.shaw.ca/lowengrin/

 

It has some tweaks to Combat Air Patrol missions.

Is the 242 Sqn site home of HSFX  closed now?

 

When I posted my HSFX missions on the site one of the members

answered ''ty for the missions the site is closing''

 

Can anyone confirm it?

242 squadron forums closed quite some time ago Tornado.
 
Lowengrin has moved where you can download his program again.

It is at 3.48 for the "Official" version and 3.49 for the beta 11 version.

Just a note once again to let everyone know that Paul has decided, for now anyway, to only host the beta version of the program on the JG1's forums.
 

After some consideration, I've decided to keep the beta uploads to this forum, which means those who want to test/try it, must register here to access the download.
It's much easier to keep the downloads and announcements in one place. I've added a link to the form topic in my blog "Related Links" section and removed the direct link to the download.
