distance indication wrong for the P40?

Please have a look at the attached picture: The 109, flown by myself, is clearly in front of the P40.

However, the distance for the P40 is shown as smaller.

This remains the same at larger distances, is just more difficult to show.

With (all?) other planes however the indication seems to be o.k, see as an example the 109 in front of a Mig.

Actually not a big deal, I would not care, if it had not caused me a lot of trouble when working on plane ID pictures at different distances, see this thread:

Actually these images show it more clearly. Both pictures show the same situation, one from close, one from far away. Watch the distances ..
