Hi All.

Before I download the two missions [ Attack on Kalach ] does anyone know if the graphics problem has been sorted out ? I think one of the updates caused a colour problem with the missions  [ everything turned bright blue ]

Cheers. :salute:

I actually replayed through both missions last evening - nothing to report. The missions are working nominally.

The fix for the bright blue world is very straightforward. It's caused by the mission having been built in a prior version of the game, so all you have to do is open it in the Mission Editor (the STEditor.exe) is in the "bin" folder of your install) and just give the mission a sky/cloud setting in the properties box in the dialogue. The properties box should be open when the mission opens in the editor, and the cloud settings are accessed via the "Atmospheric Options" button. Then just save the changes and you're ready to fly!

Hi Have downloaded and installed Attack on Kalach, but when clicking on the mission I'm getting " Mission Description is Loading " but nothing happens ?    Why is that !!!

I first install the mission when it first became available and did not have this problem, and then there was the graphics problem after an update, so deleted and reinstalled, and now this ??

Cheers

Of course... if you've tweaked the cloud settings in the mission editor, you might want to do a "Save as..." and tweak, say, the turbulance or wind speed/direction. Maybe you've done the mission in a boring F4 (or whatever) but might like to see how you get on in an MC 202 or Bf 110... Another tweak! The airfield looks sterile - why not add a couple of statics... and so on...

Welcome to the rabbit hole, Dorothy. You've just swallowed the blue pill. This ain't Wonderland any more... You're in Mission-Editor-Land! Be careful... or Tweedle-Jupp and Tweedle-Coconut will chop off your head!  :P  [if you see a white rabbit with a pocket watch, that's just Prangster worrying everyone about server latency and too many "linked entities"...].

[serious hours of fun in the ME are to be had. Certainly, at the start, it's a tricky learning-curve/ row-of-serated-sharks-teeth, but once you get over that initial w-t-f bit, it all starts to get a bit cool, a bit flexible and - whisper it - a bit easy!]
