Planes are now hit and are loosing parts for no reason ...

Tonight on WoL I was chasing a Lagg3 ... he suddenly loosed one of its wings during a turn to escape my fire (please note it was a normal turn and I was not already firing). 15 seconds later, while I was flying straight, I loosed my FW engine and my left wing tip for no reason ans crashed. No plane around, no AAA, no impacts ... Got the track if needed 

 

I also heard of several planes (especially FW) loosing their vertical stab / tailfin ... some of my fly mate also exploding for no reason ...   

 

Will we have a flyable sim one day ?

I can confirm I ve lost my vertical stab three times (2x Fw 190, 1x P40) while cruising with nothing around.

 

No enemy fighters, no AAA, no hard G turn, just a straight line.

Isn`t there a Yak flying right behind you and crossing the screen after the explosion. Seen at 21.06 when pausing the video, looks like a Yak to me. Maybe he shot you but of course it is surprise to see mid air explosion.

 

 

Make bug reports people if you see weird stuff. Only way to get it fixed. Especially if you have tracks about it.

Seems that only people online are impacted (several of my fly mates had the case again in the awesome Wing of Italy campaign or in online servers).

 

I'm amazed that nobody is reporting the case here, seems that the BOS community is almost composed of offliners.

Only a little little bunch of online hardcore gamers...

All flight sims are. The overwhelming vast majority of flight simmers are off liners.

And they are far far far more "hardcore" than those that play online.

Maybe ... wish you're right on the "hardcore" side of the debate ... for that AI would maybe need a little more tuning to come with less predictable manners. The point is that  there is more technical challenge for the devs to mess with the network code and performances online. As a result the overall experience is better offline, I agree. But in terms of having a good time with friends, just try to fly with one or two of your mates vs humans squadron (or vs AI if you like it). You won't be deceived

Vs offline where you can actually fly against large enemy formations.

Nothing like being able to fly against a formation of 30+ il2 with fighter escort with your AI or real life wingmen in coop.

This is something you can do offline, not on.

Or at least you could. Il2 DCG made for a far more realistic simulation of air battle than anything we've currently got online.

And that's the problem. Too many lone wolves and blond knights focused on the one v one battle vs a better pilot, rather than a larger air battle of which you are merely a small piece. Hence the hardcore factor is much higher in something like il2 DCG coop than any of our current options.

Two month later, and a few patch in between, this bug still happens (this time it was one of my ex. squad mate). 

Exploding in the middle of nowhere, no plane at shot distance, propeller twisted first and then exploding ...

Had this happen to me last night.  I simply exploded into tiny pieces for no reason at all on WOL.  I had at least one wingman that saw it happen.  He reported that there was nothing around me at the time.  I was about 500 meters flying straight when the explosion occurred.  Here's the sortie log.  http://il2stat.aviaskins.com:8008/en/sortie/log/678970/?tour=10  As you can see nothing killed me, I just blew up for no reason.  

 

Sounds like the invisible wall got me too.

Thats exactly the problem here watch this video from 0:35 you see how plane parts from the other planes goes through the whole plane that follow him and damage each part from the plane! Really crazy!

Damn, first time I see this thread. 

 

Anyways, I'm joining you guys as I can recall at least two occasions where my plane self exploded for no reason. The last one was during the approach phase on a enemy-free base, I just dropped the gear and boom... Both were also during online sessions. I never had the loosing bits part though.
