LLv44_Kanttori Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Hello Axis HQ! Can you send the battle plan maps to Finns (to my e-mail) in time that I can share them early before the mission, please! 1
=J13=Serenity Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Blue team - don't worry. Battle plan should be ready soon and pilots assign to their tasks.
=J13=Serenity Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Hello This time blue side was able to stop enemy tank atack - for the first time in this season. Ju87 pilots were grateful for fighter escort done by Finnish pilots. Since red side has more victory points we decided to end this season and start new one next week. Some balancing changes need to be done. Post here your suggestions if you have any. 1
LLv44_Kanttori Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 (edited) Replace the Bf 109 F-2 with the Bf 109 F-4 or G-2. Finns are not used to fly with the underpowered F-2 Messer, because it has any changes with he Russian fighters. We cannot use the Bf 109's superb climbing ability att all, because F-2 model don't have it. Normally we are flying the Bf 109 G-2 (because of FAF history) and we are much more better pilots with it, also the F-4 is better choice if you want to use F-models because of history. I think the Finnish pilot's motivation got lost with the F-2 and so many pilots and aircrafts losses... Edited April 15, 2017 by LLv32_Kanttori 3

=J13=Serenity Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 (edited) Hello Another episode of IW The plan was: Group of Ju 88 at 6000m attacks enemy railroad station using level bombing. Group of He111H16 folows them and does the same Group of Ju 87 attacks enemy warehouses in sector C Two fighter groups provide cover for Ju 88 and Ju87 Results: 5 Ju88 successfully completed their objective and only lost one plane during landing (probable bug with chat and brakes). Second sortie was to destroy enemy warehouses in sector C He 111 were assign do transport duties. 5 Ju87 made two sortion on warehouses in second C and destroyed them with the help of Ju88. Fighters did their job well. All necessary tasks were done. Landings and takeoffs this time were especially dangerous: Edited April 22, 2017 by 71st_AH_J13Serenity 1

LLv34_Camouflage Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 LENTORYKMENTTI 3INWAR COMBAT REPORT05.05.20179 Pilots:LLv34: Camo, WmakerLLv32: Kanttori, Korppi, Modo, VvarisLLv8: AdeSFF: VelluLeR3: ZimoThe Finns took off Sychovka in three flights: 4x109G2 (LLv32: Kanttori, Korppi, Modo, Vvaris), 2x190A3 (Ade+Wmaker) and my flight of 3x109G2's (Camo, Vellu + Zimo).LLv32 headed south to cover our railway station, the 190's headed NE to the front line and Camo's flight headed west.Very quickly the 190s ran into multiple Yaks and Camo's flight turned back to assist. The 190s disengaged. After a short search, Camo's flight found the Yaks and engaged from above. Some shots were exchanged and the fight ended up low with no visible results, so we decided to disengage. I had some damage in my left wing, so I headed back to Sychovka to replane. Vellu and Zimo headed south to help the main group. It looks like we were able to tie up the enemy escort fighters, as around this time the Pe2s showed up unescorted at the railway station. LLv32 engaged the Pe2s, while the 190s and my wingmen headed there.LLv32 swiftly attacked the bombers. Korppi shot down a Pe2 as Vvaris assisted. Despite the 109s making their passes at high speed, three planes were hit by the rear gunners: Kanttori was killed, Korppi lost his controls and he had to bail out. Vvaris's engine seized, but luckily he managed to dead-stick land at a friendly airfield nearby. Modo continued to harrass the Pe2's, as did Vellu and Zimo, who had also reached the area. The 190s also showed up and found the Pe2's near the target area. A few enemy fighters showed up as well. Wmaker shot down a Pe2 and Ade another two Pe2's. With the enemy numbers getting thinner and more Finns pouring into the area, one by one the enemies started to disengage.Meanwhile, I had managed to replane and as I headed towards the target area at low altitude, I spotted several RTB'ing enemy planes, scattered and separated on the deck. Looked like the enemy planes were busy navigating back home, as they didn't spot my fast approaching 109. I slipped behind an IL2 and quickly shot it down. Immediately I spotted a fighter a few km's away. It took me a while to catch up, but it turned out to be a Yak. I don't think the Yak saw me coming, so I edged closer and after one burst, the Yak crashed into the forest. I knew there were more planes in the area, so I kept looking around at tree top height. After a while, I spotted another fighter skimming a river. I followed it for a while and suddenly the pilot got careless and started climbing. It turned out to be a LaGG. I quickly caught it in the climb and after a few bursts, the left wing broke off and the plane crashed in a ball of flames. With no other planes in sight, I headed home. The rest of the Finns were already refueling and taking off again. The rest of the mission was uneventful for all of us. We covered our transport planes at the rear fields and no enemies showed up.Totals:7 kills:3 Camo (IL2, Yak, LaGG)2 Ade (2x Pe2)1 Korppi (1x Pe2)1 Wmaker (1x Pe2)3 assists:1 Varis (Pe2)1 Wmaker (Pe2)1 Ade (Pe2)3 lost 109G2's to Pe2 rear gunners:1 Kanttori (KIA)1 Korppi (bailed safely)1 Vvaris (engine seized, landed at friendly rear field)The rest RTB'd safely.<S!>Camo 1
=J13=Serenity Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) Hello Another IW Mission is over Due to fierce combat in previous missions both team needed to regroup. Because of that German team decided to defend and save as much resources as possible while inflicting casualties to the attacking enemy. Plan: 2 FW190 patroling enemy transport routes Bf109 group defends railroad station Transports do their job Results: 2 WF190 and 2 Bf109 have intercepted 2 Ju 52 Group of 9 Bf109 inflicted heavy casualties to the enemy during their attack on a railroad station. Transports did their job and only lost 1 transport plane to enemy fighters. Team did good. Fighters fought carefully and non-combat loses were minimal. Mission objective had been achieved. FW190 sortie: From the mission start 2 FW190 and 2 Bf109 hurried towards enemy transport routes. Soon after entering patrol area 2 Fw190 were attacks by several Yaks. FW190 disingaged, directed 2 109 towards the yaks, when they engaged Fw190 shot one yak and disengaged again. 2 Bf 109 fought for some time but where forced to turn back to base. 2 Fw190 instead continued to patrol. Just after first skirmish was over Ju 52 showed up and was shot down. Then another Ju 52 was destroyed. After some time group of 3 yaks attacked head on. Short but fierce skirmish led to 2 yaks destroyed and 1 routed. Routed Yak came back and Fw190 shot him down as well. 2 Fw 190 went back to refuel. Second patrol started with destroying lonely yak which was probably coming back to base. Seconds later 2 yaks attacked form above. FW190 disengaged, climbed and counterattacked. But mission time almost ran out and FW190 hurried back to base. During returning to base process FW190 received fire from warehouse AA, Strong point AA, and defense line AA. Both planes were damaged, one even had to glide back to the airport. Both planes were saved nevertheless! Edited May 9, 2017 by 71st_AH_J13Serenity 1

We were tasked with establishing CAP over various targets during the mission. It seemed like we were constantly transitioning from one area to the other, with short skirmishes following each other before moving to the next area. The only prolonged fight which I took part in, occurred over target area B. IL2s were attacking targets with Yaks giving cover. The fight evolved into a turning fight on the deck, with the enemy eventually fleeing from the area after sustaining significant casualties. There were also a few additional fights with enemy fighter formations, both at low- and high altitudes. I was surprised to find enemy fighters at above 7km on numerous occasions, as they were easy prey for our fighters. The german planes seem to have much better performance at high altitude compared to the soviet fighters. The enemy seemed to do better in the low altitude fights. In most of the fights, the enemy disengaged and fled the scene after losing a few planes.I was happy to note that even though most of the fights were against well coordinated enemy formations, we clearly managed to hold our own during the fights. Our exchange ratio against fighters was 7:3. The regiment seems to be making progress. However, there were too many accidents, as three planes were lost in crashes.8 victories:3 Wmaker (IL2, Yak, La5)1 Camo (Yak)1 Pingviini (Yak)1 Ade (Yak) while flying a 110!1 Untamo (La5)1 Adexu (La5)8 Losses: 7x109G2, 1x190A33 Shot down by Yaks: Modo, Vvaris, Andom1 Shot down by IL2 rear gunner: Ade1 Shot down by AAA: Modo3 Accidentally crashed: Camo, Adexu, Kippari<S!>Camo 2

LLv44_Kanttori Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Me again, I'm sorry... I have created a LeR3 (Lentorykmentti 3 = Flight Regiment 3) logo to your In War website, but I don't know to whom I am sending it... so can you please tell who is the adminstrator of your sites and his e-mail? This is the logo: As you know the old Finnish swastika sign is not the sane as Hitler's nazi symbol. It is much more older from year 1918 and given to Finnish from Swedish Count von Rosen:"Eric von Rosen had been using a swastika as a personal owner's mark. He originally saw the symbol on runestones in Gotland, while at school. Knowing that the symbol signified good luck for the Vikings, he utilized the symbol and had it carved into all his luggage when going on an expedition to South America in 1901. Being a friend of Finland, on March 1918 he gave the newly independent state an aircraft, which signified the beginning of the Finnish Air Force. The aircraft, a license manufactured Morane-Saulnier MS Parasol/Thulin D, was marked with his badge, a blue swastika on a white background. The Finnish Air Force adopted this roundel as their national insignia." (Wikipedia)....But everybody has not read their history lessons, so I put the Finnish blue "goodness and fortune symbol" to the background. It is now as visible as in the IL-2 Sturmovik's official Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-2 Riihikallio (MT-213) skin! Edited September 20, 2017 by LLv32_Kanttori 1

=J13=Serenity Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) Hello Finally a new season IW has begun Its always a pleasure to once again fight alongside with all the veterans of previous campaigns Long break between the seasons was noticeable. Group takeoff, formation flying and landings were not as trivial as before. But second and third flight were better though. Due to elevated competitive nature of the previous seasons tactics and strategies are classified until the end of this campaign. 5 Ju 88 were assign to bomb enemy forces located in town A 2 fighters escorted them 12 fighters divided into two groups were on an interception mission. Il 2s were their primary targets. Results 2 bomber sorties 5 and 3 Ju 88 respectively were successful, destroying enemy troops from safe altitude 2 fighters were able to escort them without refueling throughout both sorties. Later Ju 88 pilots completed the transport mission as well. Intercept groups, according to their report, were able to repel the first enemy attack on sector C. enemy IL 2-s only had several minutes over the target before they had to disengage. The second enemy sortie was also repulsed. Warehouses were left unprotected because enemy bombers were expected to miss anyway. Special Thanks to all the participants for coming on time, participating in briefing, completing assigned missions, making after actions reports for command. Finnish pilots are especially responsible and reliable. Edited October 6, 2017 by 71st_AH_J13Serenity 2

=J13=Serenity Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 (edited) Hello Another episode if IW is over The plan: 1. Four fighter groups, assigned with interception tasks, were responsible for providing cover for all of the towns from IL 2 attacks. 2. Bf110 group were going far behind enemy lines to prevent enemy reserves reaching their destination. 3. Casualties replenishment from reserves. Results: Fighter groups (Two Finnish on Bf109 and two Russians on FW190) had reached their assigned patrolling locations, when enemy Il2s with cover attacked C. Patrolling Bf109 group tied enemy fighter cover in fierce fight, while two reinforcing FW190 groups focused on the retreating Il 2s destroying two of them. After that swift attack, one FW190 group followed enemy Pe 2 group, which was overflying the battle along with fighter cover. Another FW190 group hurried to aid Bf109, who were engaged with soviet fighters. Very soon there were only German airplanes over C. FW190 groups, which followed enemy bomber had to engage enemy fighters. But the hunt for the enemy Pe 2 had begun, and soon retreating bombers had heed discovered by the Bf109 group and destroyed. Second FW190 group was also looking for bombers but only found lonely yak. Both sides decided to regroup. Second skirmish occurred when 6 soviet La 5 were spotted patrolling C, Probably providing local air superiority. 2 FW 190 attacked them. Short fight resulted in one FW190 destroyed and La 5 damaged. Soon after, refueled group of BF109 engaged La 5 group. The combat was hard and Bf109 asked for reinforcements. Two FW 190 groups were on their was. Arriving, they quickly cleaned up airspace over C once again. Bf110 group, taking advantage from air superiority over C, made their bomb run on enemy ground targets located there. From the mission beginning BF110 group flew all the way to the enemy reserve airfield and managed to intercepts two enemy aircraft. After then, instead of relocating, BF110 group decided to wait. They did not wait for long... Second intercept sortie was attempted later in the mission. Results were - 1 enemy Pe 2 destroyed as well as one Bf110. The rest of the mission pilots replenished casualties freeing airplanes from the reserve airfield. This mission was rich on action. Fights were frequent and decisive. My wingmen Ktif was able to maintain formation throughout the sorties and was pretty efficient. =LwS=Wise - bomber and ground attack pilot, proved himself as a very good fighter pilot. Good job! Adler Blau was very effective as a Fw190 group leader. He always managed to arrive exactly on time to every "Hot" area and combat effectiveness was very high. Finnish pilots also proved to be effective. They were used as a front line troops and thus always faced the most challenging skirmishes, allowing other groups to focus on bombers and ground attack airplanes. Despite the fact that all airplanes are allowed in IW, no unbalances were found. Airplane type is determined mostly by the assigned mission. Cooperation and tactic lead to victory. Not airplane types. First and Second fights videos: Why it is always better to have a wingmen: Also would like to congratulate blue team with victory in the sky Casualties were 20:27 (Germans destroyed more). These are good results, especially against experiences and slightly overconfident enemy. The combat was mostly at the low altitudes, where soviet airplanes usually have advantage. In previous seasons: New season: Thanks for the server, even under heavy load there were no lags. Edited October 14, 2017 by 71st_AH_J13Serenity 2
THERION Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 (edited) Hi, I would like to participate too - as I wanted last Saturday. I created an account on your web-site, but wasn't assigned to any group, not even as reserve pilot. Is your server only for existing teams or can someone like me joint a squadron? I've got all the hard- and software needed, can taxi, take off, fly in formation and land without wreckage (well, most of the time). EN is not my mother tongue, but I can speak fluently as FR and GE too. RU is a beautiful language, but alas I do not master it in any way. My preferred side is definitely RED, but I didn't see how to apply for the RED side, so I chose the BLUE. Would be nice to here from you. Cheers Edited October 16, 2017 by Therion
=J13=Serenity Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Hmm, Will ask people who is responsible for the website to look at your problem. You are very welcome to participate. When you came last Friday we were in the middle of the action thats why were unable to help much. This season red side is usually 1-2 pilots short, so you will be a perfect candidate. This time most of the Red team are actually Russians. But some of them can speak English pretty good. Blue team is more diverse. Even if website will not work for you, you can just come to team speak 30 min before the mission start and team commanders will take care of you
=J13=xarann Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 My preferred side is definitely RED, but I didn't see how to apply for the RED side, so I chose the BLUE. Hi. Now you moved to RED team: http://inwar.club/en/pilot/?user=374. Here you can assign yourself to certain mission. Welcome aboard
THERION Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Hi, Большое спасибо! Thanks a lot, I will be glad to participate the next time. Cheers
