Guns firing blanks. New bug or what?

This happened on Wings of Liberty server (Volga Riverside mission).

 

I attacked trucks with mig3, armed with machineguns and gunpods. I couldn't see any tracers from my guns but I heard the sound. No visible hits on target or on the ground. Did not manage to destroy a single truck with 2-3 passes. They usually go puff after couple of rounds so I think I should have destroyed some trucks.

 

I tried again with Il-2. Just after takeoff I tried if I could see my tracers and emptied my guns on the ground. Nope, not one tracer or hit on the ground.

 

I recorded both flights, but game crashes to desktop if I try to play those records (2 times no error message, just sent to desktop. One time with that memory error message).

 

I have never experienced this before. Anyone else?
