Voidhunger Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Perfect, just for the weekend! http://store.steampowered.com/app/312980/
Juri_JS Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I hope they have drastically improved the UI and control system. The predecessor Operation Star was a big disappointment for me. I've rarely seen such a user-unfriendly game and for my personal taste you just don't have enough control over your troops, when compared for example to games from the Combat Mission series. 1
Brano Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I never understood why they switched from Steel Fury tank sim development to this kind of "strategy game" or whatever they call it. I lost my interest immediately.

LuftManu Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Is this sim worth? Now is on sale on Steam, -10% off. it is 28 €. But the Operation Star with all of the DLC is 75% off and 30€, what do you recommend? I am really into Strategy games, but I am searching some options to Combat mission Edited March 6, 2016 by ManuV

I am really into Strategy games, but I am searching some options to Combat mission yes i raccomande it, the game is based on realism, for my opinion Graviteam is the best rts on a large scale battle sim, but this title require a lot of patience because have horrible HUD, end Op. Star no have tutorial I recommend reading the manual and the various user guides for understand the game's dynamics
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 mp coming later No disrespect Pan but I'll believe it when it is released.
Veteran66 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943 is out on Steam! https://www.facebook.com/Graviteam/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED&fref=nf Gameplay Video
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I just purchased Mius Front but I'm having trouble getting a hang of the game. Are there any good guidebooks or tutorials out there?
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I just purchased Mius Front but I'm having trouble getting a hang of the game. Are there any good guidebooks or tutorials out there? I just finished reading the 51 page manual and it has virtually zero instruction for playing the actual game. If there are any experienced GT: OS or GT: MF guys, please give me some insight on where to start. Thanks!
Inkophile Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Yeah, unfortunately the controls in the game are abyssmal, and it is anything but straightforward how the large map and battle map interact when it comes to supporting units/reinforcements, etc. The game certainly needs to improve in those areas. Unfortunately the exact same issues kind'a killed Steel Armor: Blaze of War for me too, since it's the same devs (Graviteam) and the map layer and those controls are the exact same crap as in Operation Star/Mius Front
HippyDruid Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Steel Division Normandy 44. Or pretty much WARGAME: WWII version http://store.steampowered.com/app/572410/Steel_Division_Normandy_44/
Inkophile Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Any other suggestions for similar games? The two closest game series would be Theatre of War 2, and the Combat Mission series (Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy, etc). Both of them are actual tactical-level simulators with their own approach on how to do things, and both are very good. Theatre of War has a bit more action (combat actually looks a fair bit like Mius Front, although prettier), and Combat Mission more minute planning and execution. Combat Mission is also designed around turn-based play (each turn is one minute, and you queue/time commands freely for each minute), but it can be played in real-time. A more gamey suggestion but still indeed fun is Steel Division: Normandy 44. It is definitely a game and not a simulator, it is higher-paced and can - at least in multiplayer - be more overwhelming to a slow-simmer like myself, but servers can be adjusted for different amounts of starting points and income levels to suit one's preferences.
t4trouble Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Graviteam Tactics basic tutorials, its operation star but basically same.... 2
unreasonable Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) Having spent the evening playing Steel Division I can confirm that is neither a WW2 wargame nor a simulation - it is an RTS with WW2 skins for ADD teens - or adults who have drunk far too much coffee. There are only meeting engagements and a timer that dictates victory. No possibility to conduct a deliberate assault on a prepared position or design and hold a position against an AI attack. It is fairly entertaining, I am sure I will play it for a while, but it is not really what I want unfortunately. I have Mius front too but never managed to get past the gui.... so thanks for t4trouble, I feel the WW2 itch and may have to watch all those vids and try again. Edited May 24, 2017 by unreasonable
