I really do not know, it's all very early on. the game is a baby that was just born.

I'm assuming the blue indicator referred to is the blue triangle on the map?

 

That exists in the current "Normal" difficulty, going to "Expert" removes the icon. It also replaces all readouts in the HUD for speed/throttle%/radiator%/etc with question marks for added difficulty.

Push H to turn off icons and HUD readings.

Not sure how you just get rid of just icons though. I thought I had in settings, but nope.

I don't have icons with Expert difficulty, with Standard I did. Of course, then you lose the HUD feedback.

 

Also, the current difficulty settings are just cookie cutter stand-ins, they will turn into an actual settings page by product release just as they are with RoF.
