Hi,

I posted this on the original Il2 1946 forum, but I want to share this thread to you too.

I just want to know if you like the economic model of Il2 BOS?

Me I'm not really about you have to pay the game for each account instead of for each disc. All old game (and some recent) you had one disc that you could install the game everywhere and you had a code to enter to play, but the code worked for every PC, even if you installed the game on 2 or 3 computer at the same time.

I received Rise of Flight for my birthday, but I can't play because my father installed the game for my birthday, but with his own account, because he had to create one to enter the code, but me, I can't play the full version, only demo version and it's really annoying. It's why I stoped to play ROF... Don't want to buy another $50... I have the game at home!!!

It will be the same thing for IL2 BOS and it's why I don't know if I should/will buy this game. Yes, it's looking great, but if it's only one account only, it's very bad.

Love you Daidalos Team for your hard work and free stuff!!!
In ROF, you need to pay for extra planes icon_sad.gif

Second post :

In Il2 1946, I don't have to loggin with an account to play... Just have to launch the game and after, I can choose my profil to play with. (I have 3 profils for me and my brother).

In ROF, we have to loggin to play. After that, the first account who enter the key to install the game, will have the full game and the other account will have a demo version. For me, my father installed the game for my birthday so he needed to install the game... So, when I wanted to launch the game with my account, I only have the demo version of the game, because I can't use the same key... And I have Iron Cross Edition!!!
And I don't want to loggin on my father account, so I contacted the support, but they want me to buy another key online, so another key=another game ($40)...

You pay for the cockpits, not the planes themselves.

Ask your dad for the login?.....

How old are you

I don't understand why your father needed to login to install RoF?

good suggestion indeed, unless his dad is too concerned with his battle record.

You can make several profiles under the same login account with RoF. When BoS hits production, I'm certain that will be present as well.

So there can be a "Dad" profile and a "Son" profile, with all sorts of different settings/configurations/awards/"battle records"/etc.

lol... It's because when you install the game, it's demanding your CD key and to have an account to link your key, so he create one, but I don't think he thought that it was only for his account... But whatever, I'm 19 and my father doesn't play the game, but I know he use almost the same password (with some variant) for everythings (email, etc) and I don't want to ask him for his account, because I have my own account!

What BOS devs need to do is something like old game :

1. Install the game

2. Ask your key

3. Your game is activated (you can use the same key multiple time (but need CD to play) for 2, 3 or more PC)

4. You are in the menu

5. You can play as a default pilot, but this pilot can't play online

6. Create "Local account" that doesn't need password or whatever... Just a name for pilot and that's it. Local account can play campain and all mode, but no multiplayers...

7. To play multiplayers, you need to create an online account, but you don't need a key/person, just an account with a password.

That's my idea and I think it should be great for family.

Ask him to log in to his account, you can then change the password on the account without needing his password again, now it's linked to his email but uses your choice of password. Email support and ask them to change the account email from his email to yours, they did it for me inside 24 hours and were very courteous - problem solved

Yes I can do that. I will ask support...

But I really don't like how it's work. Prefer Il2 1946 and Il2 COD system. It's better when you don't have Internet Connexion.
