taffy2jeffmorgan Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hi All. I have noticed recently that when turning my head [TrackIR-5] there is a line distortion across the center my monitor screen, I'v tried cinematic checked and unchecked but it makes no difference ? any idea what could be the problem. Cheers. GTX 960 graphic card 8g ram
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 did you turn on vsync, and turn off full screen? that called tearing. and turning on vsync get rid of that.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 I cant recall doing anything with vsync or turning off full screen ?
HippyDruid Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Did you update TrackIR to the lastest software release? It fixes some issues with 9xx series cards.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Did you update TrackIR to the lastest software release? It fixes some issues with 9xx series cards. Thanks for that, but do I have to go into the TrackIR download section to upgrade ?
Bando Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 https://s3.amazonaws.com/naturalpoint/trackir/software/TrackIR_5.4.1.exe
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 I will install and check the results, Than you.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Installing the TrackIR update made no difference, the distortion is still there ?
TheNotoriousFNG Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Are you using a TV or a monitor/monitors? I had some issues when using an older HD TV.
dingdingchavez Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Hi All. I have noticed recently that when turning my head [TrackIR-5] there is a line distortion across the center my monitor screen, I'v tried cinematic checked and unchecked but it makes no difference ? any idea what could be the problem. Cheers. GTX 960 graphic card 8g ram Same problem. I had a 760 before the last update and didn't have this bad screen tearing. Then came back after the update with a 970 and now I get it no matter if vsync is on ingame, in nvidia C.panel or if the settings are high/ultra. Trackir is also updated. I also get pretty bad frame rate drops in the new campaign, especially when I open the map, it practically freezes for a second with the frames dropping into the low 10-20s.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 So I'm not alone with this fault ! I have not ticked the box for either Vsync, SSAO, HDR, [all off] Antialiasing = 4 I did have the FPS limiter set at 60 but i'v pushed that up to 120 but the distortion is still there, perhaps the Devs can sort this out with a future upgrade. Thanks everyone for your comments. Cheers.
EAF_51_FOX Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) M8, you HAVE to tick V-Sync in the main menu video options! Edited March 2, 2016 by EAF_51_FOX
