Beazil Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 It doesn't work. Now there are third party programs out there that work in other games that won't work with overlay, but I haven't found one yet that works with BOS/BOM. Devs, is there anything you can do to help? Might be a rendering thing, but I know nothing about this stuff so I'm just asking. Other pilots and squaddies: Have you found a program or settings that will work? Thanks in advance. S!
JimTM Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) TeamSpeak Overlay works for me. Start Teamspeak before you start BoS. Here are my settings (Settings Menu > Plugins, select TeamSpeak3 Overlay, click Settings): At the bottom of the Plugins dialog, make sure that the API Version matches Required. You should (hopefully) see a TeamSpeak Overlay logo as BoS starts up. Edited February 28, 2016 by JimTM
Jade_Monkey Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Supposedly the latest patch should have helped: See point 6 in the DD: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/?p=332043 I actually havent had any success either.
Original_Uwe Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 yep Ive got noting with either TS notifier or the TS3 plugin from the TS download site.
kissklas Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 TS Notifier should work just fine. I'm using that one. Make sure you go into the TS Notifier config and make [Il-2.exe] game.enabled=1 and not the launcher exe file. You might have to restart the game to see the results. Hope this helps:) Best, Klas 1
Beazil Posted March 26, 2016 Author Posted March 26, 2016 Thanks for all the tips guys. It seems that JimTM's solution worked for me and others in the squad. Thanks for your help guys and hopefully this thread helps someone else out.
No_85_Gramps Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Funny, I was just wondering about this. My attempts failed initially but I discovered that TS needs admin privileges for it to work. Once I ran TS in admin mode it worked fine.
Samuele Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Hello, i used TS overlay plugin with JimTm's solution with no problem till last 64 bit patch. Now if i start teamspeak with overlay plugin ON and then IL2 BOs it just crashes. If i disable the plugin the game runs. Anyone else with this problem?
[DBS]El_Marta Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I am using the notifier with ROF and BOS. Overlay with 1946.
curiousGamblerr Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Hello, i used TS overlay plugin with JimTm's solution with no problem till last 64 bit patch. Now if i start teamspeak with overlay plugin ON and then IL2 BOs it just crashes. If i disable the plugin the game runs. Anyone else with this problem? Same, definitely a result of the 64 bit patch. Haven't checked since the latest small patch, however.
kissklas Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 You guys should try using TS Notifier. The latest versions support 64 bit programs. I have had no problems with it so far. Best, Klas
curiousGamblerr Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Definitely giving it a shot next time I fly.
Samuele Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I've tried TS notifier and it works, maybe better than TS overlay plugin. Thanks
216th_Jordan Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) With the new Dx11 renderer TS notifier stopped working for me. Do you guys have any workaround? Overwolf does not seem to work (never did) and TS Overlay plugin (original) does not work neither. Edited January 7, 2017 by 216th_Jordan
216th_Jordan Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) Run TS notifier as an admin. I do already. Is it working in your Il-2 after the latest patch? If so: which ts3 client version do you use? Edited January 7, 2017 by 216th_Jordan
[DBS]El_Marta Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) I am using Teamspeak version 3.0.18.2 and Notifier 1.6.0. Edited January 8, 2017 by [DBS]El_Marta
216th_Jordan Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I am using Teamspeak version 3.0.18.2 and Notifier 1.6.0. Thank you, will try your settings.
SYN_Mike77 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 TeamSpeak Overlay works for me. Start Teamspeak before you start BoS. Here are my settings (Settings Menu > Plugins, select TeamSpeak3 Overlay, click Settings): Screenshot - 2016-02-28 , 6_20_27 PM.png At the bottom of the Plugins dialog, make sure that the API Version matches Required. You should (hopefully) see a TeamSpeak Overlay logo as BoS starts up. When I follow this tree I do not get a TeamSpeak3 overlay option. What am I doing wrong?
Lusekofte Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I cannot get that and notifier to work. And I remember in COD it worked until one was updated and the other not. It always been on and off
BOO Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Luse... Im Win10 and it works fine. The one click set up doesnt seem to install the required 32bit dll in the TS3 client directory. I think it needs both the 64 and 32 dlls to work for some reason. Go back to the TS notifer sight and look in the install instructions - there is a link there to a zip file. download that and copy the 32 bit dll into the folder in the TS3 root as detailed in the install instructions on the website. Hopefully that may do the trick. I trust that i dont need to mention that you need to change the 0 to a 1 for IL2.exe in the system tray menu of notifier. Regards BOO
216th_Jordan Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) It works again for me now! yay! It seems that there was some conflict with fraps involved, but that is unconfirmed as I have not tested yet if this is really the problem. I shut down fraps and relaunched the game and there it was. 216th_Jordan Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 It works again for me now! yay! It seems that there was some conflict with fraps involved, but that is unconfirmed as I have not tested yet if this is really the problem. I shut down fraps and relaunched the game and there it was. Confirmed, Fraps stopped other apps from hooking into the game.
Lusekofte Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Well I will retry it, I hesitate much because it brings back memories about this overlay business in COD. for every update it stopped working. I am getting too old for this hobby, I feel many times I rather not fly than fixing problems. But flying FNBF is shait when you cannot hear crap in TS
