Lotfe 7D bombsight

Hi all.

I try to understand how works Lotfe 7D in game and how it was in reality.

A major thing for me is the question -  could Lofte 7D automaticly  (with autopilot) adjust targeting on final approach or couldn't.

Here they say definitely "yes":

"On final approach, the autopilot was engaged, while the bombsight adjusted the flight path in response to last-minute changes by the bombardier"

In other words, bombardier adjusts some targeting options in bombsight and plane automaticly reacts accordingly (turns left or right)

But. There is a manual for german pilots (here you can download it), and there written the following (it's about differences between Lotfe 7D and Lotfe 7C):

"Das Gerät besitzt eine Einrichtung zur automatischen Seitentrift einstellung, die bei ±18° begrenzt ist; die Seitentriftbestimmung am Ziel erfolgt allein durch Bedienung des Handrichtungsgebers.

Die automatische Seitcntrifteinstellung kann durch den Unterbrecher knopf an der rechten Gehäuseseite außer Betrieb gesetzt werden."

As I know "Handrichtungsgeber" on He-111 was a device on right "horn" of steering wheel with 3 positions (0, left, right).

So, as I undersood, Lotfe 7D made deviates and pilot watched pointer on "Handrichtungsgeber" and held position "0". Thus the system didn't looks like real "autopilot". IMHO, more like "semiautomatic pilot".

I need help to translate this: "Die automatische Seitcntrifteinstellung kann durch den Unterbrecher knopf an der rechten Gehäuseseite außer Betrieb gesetzt werden".

Is the "automatische Seitcntrifteinstellung" - process described above (with "Handrichtungsgeber")? Or it's a targeting with real autopilot?

May be I miss a thing. Any help or information appriciated

PS - Sorry for my English (and Deutsch too))
