Machine-Guns/Cannons - Can These Only Fire in Short Bursts?

I've tried searching this forum about this, but haven't found anything.

 

Do all aircraft only allow one to fire machine-guns and cannons in short bursts - is one not able to have continuous fire for a little while longer?

I have no problem firing my guns until the ammunition is gone. Try to use another button to fire just to make sure the current one got a problem.

Yes you can, there's no weapon jamming modeled ingame (was an issue for russian aircraft hence the manual reloading handles in the cockpit).

 

However, your accurancy will drop the longer your burst. I'm not too sure if guns also take damage by overheating.

If you mean you can't hold the trigger until al the ammo is gone in one long burst you need to check your control settings.

What areyou using yo fire gunss. Keyboard joystick ?

Using "unlimited ammo"?

 

If is the case in BoS this don't allow press the trigger an fire all day (a la il-2'46).

 

Ammo is unlimited but the bullet belts no, is need recharge after the normal use of one belt.
