SOLIDKREATE Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 What field mod is this and can I please have it?
=362nd_FS=RoflSeal Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) Not sure if trolling. It's quite obviously a photoshop of this FW-190G-1 with external fuel tanks Edited February 27, 2016 by RoflSeal
Stig Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Not sure if trolling. As Foghorn J. Leghorn would have said: 'It was a joke, son,a joke!'
SOLIDKREATE Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 I'm not trolling. I really thought this as a prototype and wanted more info on it.
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I can only imagine the performance of that thing with so much drag and added weight.
MiloMorai Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Never minding the cannons, but if one had looked carefully at the photo, one would see the ailerons could only move up. As the ailerons are connected (when one moves up the other moves down), the ailerons can't be moved as the fairing restricts the down movement of the aileron.

Sokol1 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 It's quite obviously a photoshop of this FW-190G-1 with external fuel tanks Photoshop? This bad done collage looks made in MS Paint. 1
Avimimus Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Which one is real which one is fake? My understanding is that the Ju-88P is real and the 6xMG-FF trainbuster field modification of the He-111 was also real (although admittedly I don't remember how good the best documentation for it is). In all fairness though the R1 (or A5/U12) field mod raised the number of cannons on the Fw-190 to six (along with the two machine guns)... which was a bit of a heavy armament... I mean, given that that is factual it might not be so implausible to imagine other excessive armament fits.

Its no Ju 88P its a Ju 88 C6 Nightfighter with experimental MK 103 30mm cannon only one was build but it was to slow. The second picture is a HE 111 (H6 and H11) trainbuster but they were initially build as Nightfighter against the low and slow flying Po-2 which could not be attacked without great risk whit the to fast ME 110 and Ju 88 C, R and G Nightfighters. When the situation changed in the east most were given to trainbuster units.
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I would be a little concerned about weapon pylons that prevent the ailerons from moving. Flights might be brief but exciting. 1
