JG1_Labroisse Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Is anyone able to run on high air and ground density settings with the latest PWCG version? Seems like I used to be able to set simple config to high for both air and ground with no problem before this version. Now, if I set both to high or even air to medium and ground to high I get a major slowdown during the mission. My frame rates stay high but it is like the mission is running at 1/2 speed. I've checked CPU utilization, GPU utilization, temperatures, memory usage, etc. and they all seem to be fine. Thx for any help. Labroisse
aust3298 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I got the same effect with density set on medium. Had to change to low to run effectively. My system is: CPU Intel i5-3750k @ 3.4GHz, 16GB, AMD Radeon 7950, Windows 7. Can't say about before because I didn't begin until PWCG 1.2.
PatrickAWlson Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I corrected an error around parameters. High/Med/Low were not producing intended results. Drop one level. Your experience should be similar to what you had before. Tinker with advanced settings. My own preference is to go high ground and low air. Even on low there are plenty of planes in the sky.

PatrickAWlson Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Pat, speaking of ground objects: do trains ever spawn with AA railcars? They should. Each locomotive has several cars associated with it, and I have seen them in the game.
JG1_Labroisse Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Thanks Pat, I'll give it a try. Great program BTW, much appreciated by the community.
aust3298 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Thanks Pat. Everything is OK with low Air Density.....for the most part more encounters than I can handle. You do great work.
