Tomsk Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 (edited) Hello, I'm trying to change some of my POV snap views to give more useful views that complement my TrackIR (i.e. snap views for places that are hard to reach in TIR). Anyway the problem I'm having is that I can happily move my head position Up/Down/Left/Right/Forward/Back with PgUp/PgDn/Del/End/Ins/Home or Zoom in and out with the mouse wheel ... but I can't turn my head with the mouse (even after disabling TIR). Just to check I wasn't being stupid, I even bound keys to "Head independent view: left/right" and "Head independent view: up/down", but they also do nothing. I even stopped BoS, restarted the computer and started BoS without starting TIR to check it wasn't interfering ... still no luck. Oddly I can look around with the mouse if I switch to "Camera: head-unlinked cockpit" using LAlt+F1. Just not in normal cockpit mode. Is this working for other people? Or is the feature currently non functional? Or I am doing something wrong? EDIT: Ignore me I'm being stupid ... it's not "head-independent view" that I need to map but simply "Turn pilot head" ... somehow it had got unmapped ... Although to be fair to me the terminology is a bit confusing ;-) Edited February 23, 2016 by Tomsk
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 The new version of 5.4.1? If do make a ticket at natural point as I did . There seems to be a profile issue.
Tomsk Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 No I think I was actually being silly, it's not "head independent view left/right/up/down" that I wanted, but just "turn pilot head". I wonder what "head independent view" actually does ...
